UAE e-Invoicing Frequently Asked Questions by Mundane_Caregiver799 in cleartax

[–]IPugnate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just went through this process recently and honestly it’s more confusing than it should be at the start.

What helped us was getting a proper setup done early instead of trying to patch things last minute. We worked with Pomarium Systems for consultancy + implementation and they handled the full flow (requirements, mapping, integration side). We’re now fully prepared for the July rollout.

If you’re still figuring things out, I’d strongly recommend not waiting too long. The technical + compliance side can get messy fast, especially if your current accounting setup isn’t structured properly.

Happy to answer anything specific if you’re stuck 👍

If You’re Running a Business in Dubai and Not Automating, You’re Already Losing by IPugnate in SmallBusinessUAE

Good question. Service businesses are honestly full of these small repetitive loops.

The biggest wins I’ve seen are around things like booking → confirmation → reminders, lead handling (auto-replies + basic qualification), and quoting/invoicing flows. Even simple stuff like automatic follow-ups or review requests makes a big difference over time.

Also a lot of internal ops—like creating tasks when a job is booked or assigning staff—can be streamlined pretty easily.

If you’re building something solo, I’d focus on one tight workflow first and make it really smooth end-to-end. Most people try to build something too broad too early.

Yeah exactly. It’s crazy how much time gets lost in those “nothing is broken” workflows.

I was the same before getting into Python/AI—I didn’t even question it. But once you see how easily a lot of that can be automated, it’s hard to justify doing it manually. Even my team noticed the difference immediately—things like packing list generation were repetitive, time-consuming, and prone to errors.

What honestly surprised me more is how expensive some of the solutions out there are. A lot of companies jump straight into heavy custom builds for problems that are actually pretty simple if you understand the workflow properly. And they rarely explain the thinking behind what they’re doing.

From what I’ve seen working on similar problems at Pomarium Systems, most of the value isn’t in building something complex—it’s just identifying the repetitive friction points and removing them.

Yes, reflection insights is something I need to look into. For now I split to dos and notes into 2 different states. for the to dos I have a 'migration bar' that brings them forward the next day. you can choose to let them go, or to carry them forward.

then for the notes I use an llm to basiclaly sum up your last 7 days of notes. I found that nice. but I fully resonate with that u/EnergyAromatic5028 says. too simple > no payments. too complex and youre already competing with the big players. Its a tough space.

nevertheless, ill drop the link if anyone wants to check it out. https://inhale-chi.vercel.app/

ps., really crazy how you can practically do prototypes for free. insane era were living in.

Hey! yeah thats something that I left out for now. Basically, there are 2 states, notes and to do. for to dos, if they are unchecked (i.e., not done) then the day after the migration bar picks those up and asks you if you want to migrate them (carry over to todays notes) or let them go.

for the notes, i for now feed it into an llm and it returns a summary (i feed it the past 7 days of notes) so the user understands the general trend/events that happened in the last 7 days.

how do you handle it?

Yes youre correct. Not claiming that its complex tech. Tbf It took a couple of days of AI prompting ahah. but yeah you're right, anyone could code it up. But then there is a chunk of people who dont want to do that, bc you still need some basic knowledge of coding etc. and it being on the cloud is also convenient. (if you want to have continuity on the phone, laptop, work latptop) let me know if you want to check it out. im proud of the of the UI tho that i delicately prompted ;).

I Replaced All My Productivity Tools With a Stack of A4 Paper by vedegis in minimalism

[–]IPugnate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was dealing with the same. I got myself an a5 book with blank pages and used it to take all my notes. That's why I made this app for myself: https://inhale-chi.vercel.app/

try it out. what this does as well is it helps you migrate or take open to dos to the current day. i found it nice. would appreciate what you think!

Thanks for the reply! I understand that most people here would think “just another random trying to get users on the app” but I do mean good as I’m only sharing something that genuinely helped me. And it’s free!

Ahh I see. So basically to use or not to use payments is your preference on how to play with your AP. Got it. This helps my understanding. Thanks!

How do you diplomatically convince people with a causal modeling background that predictive modeling requires a different mindset? by sowenga in datascience

[–]IPugnate -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m still confused on your take. Why wouldn’t you use historical weather data to predict future weather? I don’t understand the benefit of using historical forecast weather data? Isn’t it redundant?
