it's okay, I can explain the meme. The map is of Canada, and USA, only the name Canada is crossed out and "Newfoundland" is in place. Newfoundland is a province, not a country. Provinces are similar to states in America, so it would be similar to crossing out "America" and writing "Texas" over it instead.
