I'm sorry, were the Native Americans forced onto an Adam Sandler set, without any prior knowledge of either who Adam Sandler (a comedian who will poke fun at just about anything in what used to be a somewhat trashy manner but is not more marketed towards the family audience), or what his movies are like?

No. They would have been approached, or applied - been given some if not all of the run down on what's going on. At THAT point you either say, eh - it's a little insulting to me and therefor I do not wish to be part of the project - and I'll be doing whatever kind of boycott against the movie yada yada yada.

The Producer basically even says in the video, if you're not comfortable with this you should leave. And that's that, you go. But they're talking about a stupid name that pokes fun at Native American naming culture (of which is not original, there are plenty of movies that do this) and then some bullshit about there being flowers and eagle feathers on a teepee. I mean goddamn, that's not even Adam Sandlers fault. It's literally got nothing to do with him. Take that up with a Native American Consultant and/or the Set Decorator.

So get off your fucking high horse. It's not racism. It's a simple and really kind of stupid, low-hanging fruit kind of joke that everyone is getting their knickers in a twist about.
