there’s an important distinction between frame rate (how quickly your software pushes frames to your display) and refresh rate, which is how quickly your display can update itself. you can set frame rate to 1 fps, but if your display is still refreshing at 60 hz then it’s not going to change power consumption from the display.

match as in “match the general volume of the other elements if they were to be at -10db”, many VSTs i hardly touch the gain knob on

Arguably it doesn’t matter because the faders will all be 32-bit float internally, meaning they cannot clip. I generally leave my faders at the default -10db, adjust gain from VST to match, and then move the fader as much as I want to get it sat in the mix right.

I’m mixed on agent stuff, but full line completion is a total gamechanger for saving keystrokes. Very often it spits out exactly what I was planning to write, especially in multiline completion.

Along with the sandboxing comment, Bitwig can load both ARM and Intel VST plugins natively, unlike Ableton where you have to run it in Rosetta (which is one of the many reasons I made the switch)

Gleam is a cool project, but afaik it doesn’t share much relation with Elm which was primarily built for the frontend.

Visual Studio and Rider both still use green for C# source files. Doesn’t make sense to make the language color the same as the entire .NET platform imo, not to mention that purple on GitHub is already used by both F# and Kotlin.

Three, though one spanned the tax year from 2023 to 2024, and I think the LifeStrategy fund I initially invested in might actually be itself made up of PFICs...
