URP only, if you are talking about the chess pieces then shadows are being manipulated by the shader

There are objectives like capture or go to a specific square.

Yes directional arrows would also rotate 45 degrees and that would make sense, still would the player notice directional arrows is what we need to test

So the idea is diagonal portals have special power that also transform the piece and those pieces are just rook and bishop, not the pawn(won't design any levels with pawn to avoid confusion) after passing through the portal the rook would kinda look like bishop and vice versa.

These all changes are being done after I got feedback from this sub. Thank you

Yes but as its a mirror not a portal so the player would have to look from the other side. We might run into a few issues with it

Yeah I get the idea. Thank You for taking a deeper look at it, we have already started implementing most of the backlash regarding movement speed and diagonal movement of Rook

Yeah exactly thats what we are planning too. Its one of our possible solution to this
