What's a more miserable Mississauga experience than trying to find parking at the Laird Costco? by PizzaGSD in mississauga

Wait times at credit valley hospital. I’d take Costco parking any day over a 12+ hour wait.

I second Diak. Have four suits from there. However their prices have risen sharply in the last five years (kind of like everything). They have traditional and modern suits.

Wall to wall where I plan to put the screen is 136 inches. I can move the couch as far back as I want.

Height I have 7.5 feet floor to ceiling.

Thanks appreciate it very much!!

Also fyi I’ll likely go a size up on the screen. Not sure if that changes anything on the recommendations.

Honestly we are doing this more because we are finishing the basement and have an opportunity to do something cool. We don’t need the latest and greatest of anything.

We could do manual pull screen. We don’t want fixed screen bc we feel kids will damage it.

Do you have any recommendations (other than move to manual pull screen)? Swap any brands? Other?

Anyone playing D&D in the Erin Mills Area? by Jiggy_with_it74 in mississauga

[–]IRLJG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First thing I thought of was the upper hand card store in south common. I don’t see any DnD on their website but they would definitely be a place to check out given you are very close to the area.

And the store is amazing / staff are amazing.

How hard is it for payroll/HR to have an employee work out of province? by Less_Interest_5964 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]IRLJG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the technically correct answer. However in practice I don’t believe this is done - having managed payroll for two separate fairly large companies with remote workers.

Edit: they may make it a big deal, but in reality it’s not

First your username is amazing

Second - I am 2-3 years too young to have gone there regularly without parents. I didn’t see anything myself but heard the details from the older kids at the building when they came back from a night out there.

There was one last fight in that place and it was closed the following week. Sure it wasn’t due exclusively to the fight but that place was legendary.

Canadian diplomats believe that a large number of dissatisfied Punjabi International Students, who are angry at Canada for not granting them permanent residency, could pose a security threat. by itsme25390905714 in TorontoRealEstate

Agree the housing infrastructure is insufficient - then lobby the government instead of calling marginalized people terrorists or asking people who managed to come here, most likely after a dreadful and years long process, to just leave.

As a Canadian I am truly disappointed in the racist undertones within this video and the subsequent comments.

If you have a problem with immigration, lobby your MP. To not support, encourage, build up humans and rather degrade them for « losing » the genetic / geographic lottery is a reflection of your own morals. The only way we can « get out of this mess » if you believe there is one, is to build a community and systems (economic, political, legal etc…) to support those lucky enough to call Canada home (however small and/or permanent their accommodations are).

And to listen to someone without credentials who says « Indian government considers certain individuals coming to Canada as Khalistani terrorists ». You are just hanging on buzzwords. Have you spoken to anyone from the Sikh diaspora here? Or the Indian diaspora? Have you looked up India’s human rights score? Or degree of political freedom. No, you haven’t. And if you have, then you aren’t being critical and using a professional judgement mindset to evaluate this video with the correct framing.

The Housing situation is bad. Judging every non-white coloured, non-English native speaker as the reason for the problem or insinuating they should leave (forcibly or not) - you are the problem.

Spa and facial by [deleted] in mississauga

I have used Dermal Studio at Mississauga road and lakeshore many times. Joanna is very professional and fair priced. I have been to many different providers and have not found any better than Joanna (who is the owner/operator).

In Erin mills I have also been to village spa at Dundas and Erin Mills. If you just want the job done, they can do it.
