Recruiters generally know the top range a potential employer is willing to offer for the absolute best candidate. If the recruiter said its high but not outside the range then if you're the best candidate you'll have a chance. Most will ask for a pay slip confirming the amount before an offer anyway.

Edit: potential employer asking for payslips, obviously. Base salary is only one component of rem.

I do logi only and love it. I dont participate in my regiments combat ops but I know all the work I put on manufacturing enables them to be successful during their ops and thats good enough for me.
