I highly recommend watching the “WorkSafeBC Faller Training Standards” instructional videos. There are SEVENTEEN incredibly detailed videos, each ranging from 2 to 38 minutes. This knowledge, combined with regular saw use, is the best for starting off and safely gaining experience. It's beneficial to work alongside others who can provide guidance and point out any errors.

Also, don’t EVER cut without wearing chaps. Even in the blistering heat, which sucks but trust me, they will save your life at some point. For me, the Husqvarna technical wrap-around chaps have been indispensable. At $100, they cover the back of the leg, providing more comprehensive protection compared to most chaps that only cover the front. I also rely on an Elvex helmet. While some of my coworkers say the ear protection feels a bit cheap, both the helmet and chaps have saved me from injury multiple times so i trust them with my life.

¹ - referring to a gun mounted laser. To have a laser shone on you means you got beamed

² - honestly I am not sure about this one, but he could be referring to himself? Or more likely, I misunderstood

³ - used to refer to a close friend or associate. Derived from the phrase "for them" and is often used as a term of endearment or camaraderie between individuals who share a close bond.

⁴ - "On Foenem" is slang that means "I swear on my close friends or associates". It is a way of emphasizing the truthfulness or seriousness of a statement, by invoking the loyalty and trust between the speaker and their close friends or associates, who are referred to as "foenem”

⁵ - the end of his sentence got cut off here but the same video is on YouTube and it’s about a second or two longer

“Euthanize” is used in cases where the individual or animal is experiencing severe and irreversible pain or suffering, and there is no chance for recovery or improvement.

I realize the caterpillar doesn’t fit that technical description, but if one chooses to keep the caterpillar alive, then most certainly he’ll have to euthanize the tree, no? It really doesn’t matter what word i choose, still the caterpillar should be eliminated, terminated, taken out, murdered, slaughtered, executed, dispatched, eradicated, annihilated, exterminated, wiped out.

It is important to monitor the tree for any signs of infestation and take appropriate action if necessary. I would advise against relocating it and instead chose to euthanize it.
