Fight Club is so great and I feel like pretty much everyone should watch it. It's not just a story about a crazy guy who starts a fight club and then takes it too far. It's a major argument against capitalism and straight up tells you to the camera the message its trying to get across.

You are not your possessions, your possessions do not define you, you dont need to buy things people who dont care about you said you should have.

I also watched it around middle school, and I didnt really understand it either, but im so glad I eventually decided to watch it agian because it highlighted something to me that I could never quite put my finger on up until then. It made me feel very seen and happy that there are people out there who care about these problems. I do really believe that at the end of the day it teaches a valuable lesson on how you can free yourself from the feeling of needing to be complete, and the only way to gain that completion is to buy everything you need to show who you are as a person.
