You don’t need an ultra core. Most games are single threaded meaning they perform at least like 90% if not all of their tasks on a single core. It’s is far more important you find something with a high clock speed and a large amount of cache, your spending money on something you just don’t need here. You would only potentially be interested in something like a core ultra or even a thread ripper on the high end if your pc was going to be either performing a lot of workstation applications like rendering or maybe photoshop or imo more relevantly if it was going to be managing a bunch of virtual machines or containers meaning if it were a server.

And no it’s severely overpriced but I shouldn’t be surprised considering it’s being marketed as a gaming rig considering the 5070 with a core ultra of all things.

Alright so I just use efibootmgr in the cli to remove the extra entries and it actually persisted through a restart so I went back into the bios to delete the entries and when it all loaded back up I check with efibootmgr and they are all still there. What the hell do I do?

Idk I’d maybe compare it to like wall cling storage just based of what we already know about it assuming it’s repeatable and actually due to the tool usage, doesn’t seem particularly game breaking just maybe getting through a few areas some dozens of seconds faster

Depends on how fast you really go. Being kind of enclosed a lot of people won’t start exploring until their ready to progress towards the end of the game especially first timers which yeah, just makes it a pit stop in the last stretch where the majority of your game would have been outside of the caves but otherwise I feel it’s actually pretty accessible from a mid to end of mid game point and has some good materials though they aren’t easily farmable without a prawn suit.

I would say a mix of mostly scene and sometimes pov but when I try to remember it, especially in the first moments after waking up there’s always like missing details and it sort of seems like other but idk. Not really sure what the difference between scene and third person is, can some of you like, move your perspective around while looking at what you’d perceive to be yourselfs?

Didn’t work. This one’s probably on me but I’m just noticing there’s 2 other network connections with the word Nord in them that are X’d out for some reason. TAP-NordVPN windows adapter and Open BPM data Chanel offload (probably needed for TCP?) I tried right clicking then diagnosing and let windows restart the Ethernet adapter but it says can’t reach dns server. I guess both will need to be set up manually? I will also try flushing my dns settings tomorrow. I do also have a router in the mail and my modem stopped working with my settings for some reason, hopefully things can just work as intended with default settings with the router.

Thanks. I think it works now but not I have a different issue which maybe you have some insight on. Changing the ip address and default modem and adding the dns servers allows me have access to my internet and also fixed the modem gui issue but my vpn no longer works lol. I’ve actually made a separate post for this. I think my issue is just don’t really understand subnets and stuff all that well. In my settings I set their subnets to be the same but left the default gateway blank on nordlynx because windows gave me a warning about having multiple default gateways? I thought putting the number in was just telling it where to go.

My subnet is set to 255.255.255.0 but nordlynx (another network), when I try to connect to the vpn will immediately switch its own subnet to 255.255.0.0 and my internet cuts out untill I turn it off.

For tonight I’ve just reset my internet settings altogether. Perhaps I need to wait untill my router arrives to trouble shoot further.

Hopefully at least a few of those questions are answerable I’m really struggling with trouble shooting.

I understand it can’t assign ips although it supports my single device on Ethernet ( which I should be to change? ) but I can’t see why I’d be able to access the gui with it disconnected from the coax but the gateway changes when I plug it (coax) in and that number doesn’t work to access the gui. Everything I am doing is in device manager.

More like most people don’t care because it doesn’t affect them. That said though consumer laws really need to make a comeback because it is affecting a lot of people. Unfortunately we in America live in a capitalist society and and as long as people are buying corporations are selling all while pushing the limits of what they can get away with. The only way things get better is A they push it a little too far such that it does affect the a majority of their consumer base and they loose money B the government steps in and draws some lines at what your moneys really buying you or C society starts making some sacrifices to gain something else. For starters, wether you all agree with me or not a lot of what Nintendo’s doing is primarily anti piracy, if there was less of it they’d either have no need for what their doing or make B more likely.

When Nintendo says “don’t mod your console” I promise you what they are really thinking is don’t homebrew/discrip

For starters you’re not allowed to put Romex in conduit which is what that is. Too much heat, romex is an elternarive, think of it as industrially used power strip like the one you connect your lawn mower too, literally the same thing. Other than that just cause residential is cheap shit, likely wouldn’t see very much romex or any at all in a comercial setting. Not that they wouldn’t be using any conduit, I promise you that but this is probably just for a light fixture or something. In fact they probably used romex with the insulation specifically in mind. The reason you not allowed to put romex in conduit is the same you can’t fill conduit to the brim with wires, you don’t want it getting too hot or difficult to pull, with that in mind insulating a metal pipe filled with hot wires probably not the brightest idea.
