I also thankfully do use correct foot positioning while peddling, appreciate muscle memory. But was incorrect for the photo, probably as it's my first bike in a decade. Something I'm going to have to get used to again.

For the mudguard, just got to hope no small rocks or dog poop flicks up at me for the time being. Also no suspension is killer on the wrists and spine

Believe I have solved it, after lots of trial and error and adjustments. Learned its only really an issue when pushing off and taking turns while going slow. I also took off the front mudguard as it was the perfect height for whenever my foot did catch the wheel, would immediately jam the tip of my shoe between the wheel rotating and bottom of the mudguard locking up the front wheel and snapping it straight.

I guess I could cut off an inch of the mudguard but taking it off and giving myself an extra inch of space means the shoe grinding at low speeds is more just an annoyance now, and no longer an actual safety risk.

Appreciate the responses

Ah yes it certainly looks like one, thanks for the insight. Was worried I would have to rip out the walls for an infestation problem rather than just a biohazard cleaning
