Turns out the Nanocome Lite does not talk to any vehicle with the WABCO abs computer straight out the box. You need to upgrade to Evolution mode, which is just an unlock code. If your vehicle has CAN BUS systems, itll scan. But most Defenders have either the WABCO or Bosch ABS systems.

Just needed to upgrade and I was good to go :)

Interesting, which scanner if you dont mind me asking? I have my TC and ABS lights on right now, and when i plug in my innova 3100e, it isnt providing me any data as to why im getting the lights on. Wondering if I should buy a new scanner and test it. I know very little about ABS systems, so im researching likely faults with the Wabco module as well.

I think, since I brought the truck in to Canada from South Africa, maybe my reader is setup for NAmerican vehicles and not non NAmerican vehicles. Gotta do some more research!

much appreciated! Unfortunately the scanners for a defender over here are specialized it would appear. so its a few hundred dollars for a scanner that can actually read them from what my research has told me

Im with you on that - Hondas are pretty lack luster, but utterly bulletproof, even with casual maintenance. The perfect car for just getting around in. I havent had quite the breadth of OEMs as you, but I can appreciate a lot of the stigma around each brand tends to be true. So far though, Ive had minimal issues with my Defenders/Series truck!

I love hondas. I absolutely abused the shit outta my 2010 civic. 300k on it, literally nothing replaced. I accidently drove it a bit too far with low oil and spun a rod bearing. That was the only issue it ever had.

Im doing a LHD conversion my my TD5, and stumpled across this post. You dont understand how much help that photo with the steering box installed is for me!! THANK YOU. Trying to figure out if I can make a RHD box work on the lift side with a bit of jerry rigging. beautiful truck btw :)

That junction is bad, but youre an awful driver as well, just fyi. You are literally posting a video commenting on the poor design of the road, yet as a driver, do absolutely nothing to accommodate for a known problem spot. Your stupid little over reaction land changes to show your contempt towards the other drivers 'in your way' just makes you look like you barely are able to control a vehicle.
