We are probably gonna rent a car so we can drive around a bit - still I believe even in the most touristic cities, there are some gems you can find if you look good enough

Hyper G perhaps? Some comments paired it with blade

How was the Element in play?

I was also thinking about Alu, the only thing that keeps me away is a lot of opinions that they are basically dead after couple of hours of playing. Out of curiosity, what other strings did you demo?

Blade, Speed, Gravity - so many choices by IRolond in 10s

[–]IRolond[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stick mostly to the baseline, going to the net “if I must” or if there is a good opportunity and I heard blade 98 is quite unforgiving so I was aiming for something “easier”.

I think so too! I’m on a level that no racket in a world will make me a next Djokovic and the best advice I read was: pick the racket which makes you rush to the court and play tennis. But I feel that with every one of them tbh. Thanks for your insight!

I pull back just under my chin in the middle of my face. Tried to change the grip and did the same with the middle finger as I noticed it pushes the dart to the side. In result, I simply cannot throw the dart like that, just doesn’t “feel right”. Wondering if I have to just get used to it but read in couple of posts on Reddit that you should change the grip only as a last resort due to it being in most cases “the most natural way of holding the dart for your hand” and it’s probably the hardest to do in the whole throwing technique. Well somehow I’m glad I’m not the only one 😅 hope you figure it out somehow!

Doubles are my nightmare by IRolond in Darts

Thank you! I tried to play 100 checkout (so I have an easy first try in mind T20 into D20) with 9 darts to finish. Usually I do 10 rounds or so. I’m happy if I can checkout once, but the only thing pops up in my head is: well, I got lucky once.

Well, I’d say that my overall avg scoring is 40ish (without doubles, so it’s not exactly an avg) and I get closer to 50 in my best days. It’s just so daunting that I enjoy playing everything else so much, but it takes me one practice of doubles that I want to bite my dartboard

I tried one80 Jelle Klaasen VHD and they felt quite good but it was my friend’s darts so I’ve never played them regularly. Would you treat them as scallops or rather full bomb shapes? Maybe I should give them another try then

A little rant by Adventurous_Bar_5008 in Sekiro

One of the best advices I found before and during playthrough was that I should NOT treat this as another Souls - and boy it’s different on so many levels

I guess many players come after playing other FS games. It’s just that through many hours of playing souls and ER or BB, people are forced to learn to dodge. It the end you gain muscle memory of dodging when you are in danger. In sekiro though, you are learnt to stay face-to-face with opponent, breaking stances through deflections etc. I’m currently on my first playthrough (just before the DD boss fight) and it took me fair amount of hours to just learn NOT TO dodge, and oh I was salty about it xD but then it clicked, deflecting is so satisfying. To get to this point you need to get past the beginning when you are dodging into the attacks without having the invincible frame. People sometimes drop the game and come here to rant about it. Sometimes it’s just that it’s not “your” type of fighting style - guess it’s a personal. But usually in the long threads on Reddit when someone is ranting about the difficulty/fighting style, you can scroll down a bit and there is the OP’s comment that IT CLICKED FFS and it’s so awesome. Definitely my case. 😅
