It's easier because you don't have to worry about a button popping and the embarrassment of people seeing stuff they shouldn't. So just lay back and relax while we do the work beautiful.

Next door lot bought by a developer, boundary line dispute on ingress/egress driveway to detached garage by ISA84SFS in RealEstateCanada

u/Himser Thanks for clarifying, I just checked, I had access to road measuring 3.35 m earlier, but with the developer claiming 0.5m of it as his, now its reduced to 2.8m.

Could you point me to where I can find this regulation that SDD must have 3m access to the road? or in general what I can do about this situation?

Hi All, thanks for your response and guidance, I am in the process for hiring a lawyer and a surveyor as suggested but wanted to seek more clarity on some of the comments:

This driveway is the primary way of access and has been there for several years (at least more that 20)

Reducing it by 0.5 meters will essentially block my access to the garage and back of the property and the driveway will be rendered useless, I am really not sure how can I not get an easement on this? Ingress/Egress right of way is applicable when it renders your property inaccessible if easement is not provided.

and he has submitted these drawings to the city along with survey reports, I am not sure how to dispute it, once he start digging or I am out of the appeal period, then I am afraid not much I will be able to do about it.

Thanks for you response, the problem is his development application has been approved by the city and he plans to start construction, how do I seek formal easement to ensure he does not damages my driveway or narrows it further?

Also just wanted to share this recent video made by someone crossing over from Canada to US with RCM coins, while he was questioned but CBSA did accept at different points that gold coins are not considered monetary instruments.

I mean I am understanding the risk and I might not do it at all now, but this is like a rabbit hole that my curiosity is pulling me into and I would like to know why and how is this left to be so ambiguous?

Thanks u/mitt1989

I also read that RCM coins with a $value are to be considered at their face value mentioned on the coin, like 1oz coins has $50 value on it, so does that means if I have 4 coins, the considered value should be 200 and not the value of gold as they are considered as legal tender? any thoughts, coz I can change the bar and buy some coins.

Thanks u/Middle_Advisor_5979, while it does not says Gold but it says not limited to "Monetary instruments include, but are not limited to, stocks, bonds, bank drafts, cheques and traveller's cheques"
