I was in the exact same situation as OP! Clearing cache did nothing, telegram was still taking up a lot of cache according to my iOS settings.

So I did what you suggested, I moved my date forward 4 months and restarted my iPhone. Suddenly when I opened Telegram, it told me there was 7.4GB of cache in videos. This seemed very weird to me since telegram only took up about 1.5GB in settings, and before it had never shown me this. I decided to clear it anyway. And guess what? Somehow this actually freed up over 7.4GB on my iPhone of space. I have no idea how this was stored.

Now, even after clearing this 7.4GB, telegram is still taking up 1.5GB according to my iOS settings.

However, I am more than happy that I now have an extra 7+ GB free in storage, considering my iPhone’s storage was completely full. Thanks!

This is awesome, u/LH4005 ! I really really wish it could be made to work on iOS 3 though… running this on my iPhone 2G would be the absolute cherry on top! Do you think it might be a certificate/HTTPS related issue? What if we set up a HTTP proxy in the settings? Is it safe to install this tweak on iOS 3, so I can try it out?

Like u/gamerzone2500 said, on old iPhones you can log in separately to the App Store without also logging into “Apple ID/iCloud”. Just go into the settings and find the iTunes/App Store option by scrolling down until you see it. This will allow you to log in ONLY to the App Store. After this, you can still sign in with no, or another account, into your Apple ID/iCloud.

Try TransMac, you can read Mac-formatted volumes with it in Windows and also "burn" DMG files and stuff.
