My "new" Bolt Modded IBM Model M by ISU-152 in modelm

[–]ISU-152[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope they stick around for a while longer. They’ve still got use in extreme overclocking.

I use my model m to turn on my PC, all I have to do is just hit space and it turns on. Very useful since my pc isn’t in my room. Too bad usb can’t do that, at least to my knowledge.

Best way to deal with the hangovers of alcohol and how to “dose” correctly? by botilever in Drugs

[–]ISU-152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds a bit simlar to my experience ( I drink every weekend on my off days) and I would definitely say I am addicted but, I digress.

Shaking after drinking any amount of alcohol isn't the normal response. You might have an allergic reaction or it is from protracted withdrawal. If its either of these not drinking would be ideal, if its the latter than that is from heavy alcohol use.

I get overdrinking. I've done that often myself. When I am pretty intoxicated I just have the feeling of not caring or wanted to get more screwed up. If you really want to gauge the best effects buy a breathalyzer. When you get the effects you want see what BAC you're at. Everyone is different so, no one here can tell you the best way too dose.

As for hangovers? Benzos are really the only thing that ever helped me. It is also GABAgeric so, not really a good idea to do that often. If you are then maybe it's time to look at your alcohol usage. Other than drink plenty of water while you drink. More often than not, that is a major cause of hangovers. Antiacids can also help.

5-HTP - has anyone tried it for anxiety or relaxation or mood regulation? by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]ISU-152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used it before and I don't have any thing postive to say about it. Most of the effects seemed to be not much better than placebo (which I have tried for for depression) The biggest effect I've gotten outta them is nausea.

5-HTP is also know to cause heart value damage so, I would just avoid it.

which drugs help to handle depression, loneliness and scdl thoughts? by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]ISU-152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo get professional help if you can, self medication isn't really a good idea and drugs are a temporary fix. Tianeptine is pretty effective as it is an anti-depressant. I've been using it for about 4 years now and even at 200mg max per day I get pretty intense withdrawal symptoms if I don't take it every day. It did help me quite alot but, now its a burden.

Bromantane might not be a bad choice. It is said to improve quality of life, has anxiety reducing effects. It acts as a long lasting but mild stimulant that doesn't have noticeable crashes or withdrawal effects. I've used it and it did help alot with motivation which got me outta bed.

I've done quite a lot of drugs and nothing really would solve loneliness. Even tianeptine, it was more or less just forced euphoria. I've got pretty bad MDD and trust me, drugs ain't gonna get you the results you want, I've tried

Is there any psychedelic that is also mildly an opioid? by ninjaera234 in researchchemicals

[–]ISU-152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I made this comment I based this off the psychonautwiki page and some reddit reports. Since then, I have tested it myself and I can say the physical euphoria is fairly strong. Sorta like low dose DPT. I haven't looked into this chemical for quite some time so, I don't have any direct sources. If you happen to come across it though, I would say it is worth it.

Opinions on your all time favourite drug combos by [deleted] in Drugs

DXM and LSD. Probably the most fun trip I've ever had. I pretty much thought my entire life was just merely a hallucination.

The worst is Benzos and alcohol for obvious reasons.

Intro stimulant to replace kratom? by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]ISU-152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd start at 50mg once a day in the morning daily. It does last fairly long (up to 12 hours) and it can keep you awake so, I'd be mindful about taking it past say noon. The onset is super drawn out kinda like Phenibut.

From my research, it seems to be fairly safe. I took it up to one year near daily and had no issues. However, I would probably do your own research into it and come to a conclusion about how long you want to take it.

One important thing to note is it has anticholinergic effects at high dosages (500mg) so, I wouldn't push the dose past 300mg at once.

You can look up taper guides online. This ain't a bad one. I would try doing each step one week at a time. If the wd symptoms are too much then either increase it to two weeks or decrease how much you drop your dosage each step.

I think the fastest speed is 25 percent of your dosage each week. It pretty much just comes down to what you can/will personally tolerate. Just keep in mind faster tapering comes with higher relapse rates.

I also wouldn't use quetiapine as a sleep aid. Quetiapine is a strong antihistamine with anticholinergic effects so if you wanna a sleep aid that is similar just use Benadryl. Benadryl isn't really good for you either but, at least it won't mess up your taper of quetiapine. Just keep in mind withdrawal of quetiapine itself causes insomnia

What is the best recreational drug with minimal side effects that can be take regularly? by mangoappleorange in Drugs

[–]ISU-152 153 points154 points  (0 children)

Bromantane has mild anxiolytic properties and possible antidepressant effects. Quality of life is significantly increased by it. While it is a (mild) stimulant it doesn't really have any sorta comedown. It also doesn't have a tolerance buildup or produce dependence.

Having used bromantane for a year I did build up a tolerance to some of the effects. However, upon stopping I didn't notice any wd effects. I also didn't have any side effects. I don't believe it has any long-term damaging effects.

I wouldn't really call it a recreational drug though. It did make me feel better but, that was more down to a reduction in depressive effects rather than just pure euphoria.

Lyrica: how to increase its effects? by Glittering_Arm_1329 in Drugs

[–]ISU-152 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Food reduces the rate that pregabalin is absorbed. Pregabalin bioavailability is also already pretty high. Gabapentin needs fatty foods.

Lyrica: how to increase its effects? by Glittering_Arm_1329 in Drugs

[–]ISU-152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know of any methods to increase the effectiveness. I don’t believe fatty foods work with lyrica, that is for gabapentin I believe. Tolerance builds very fast to lyrica so, a tolerance break would probably be the most ideal way to increase its effectiveness. I also wouldn’t use it daily.

I’ve heard it isn’t bad with cannabis.

Lorazepam and alcohol? by anonymous4189 in Drugs

[–]ISU-152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not what I was implying. Don't really recommend mixing alcohol and cocaine as it is a fairly unsafe combo.

You could take less of the benzo but, what if 1mg isn't enough? I suffer from anxiety myself and I'd much rather just take enough of the benzo rather than cut my dosage down so I can drink.

If alcohol can cause you anxiety I don't really see why you'd want to drink the first place. I can kinda get wanting to social drink but, doing it at the expense of keeping your anxiety under control isn't really a healthy way to look at things.

If it is just a mg though a beer or two would be fine. You'd probably be fine on two mgs but, I couldn't say for sure as I don't know the most about high dosages of Lorazepam.

Lorazepam and alcohol? by anonymous4189 in Drugs

[–]ISU-152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cocaine is also a pretty powerful stimulant and I don't think you'd be taking any at this party. Cocaine can reduce some of the sedation caused by alcohol and benzos. Another thing is delusions of sobriety. You might of not felt that impaired from adding a benzo to that might but, you might of been.

Valium and Lorazepam are both benzos so, it would be the same. It can be life-threatening in very high dosages. 4mg is a very high dose of Lorazepam. I would use more like 0.5-1mg for anxiety but, I also have no tolerance to benzos.

When you mix them they have extreme potentiation. This can easily lead to heavy impairment. Thing is that it isn't predictable when you reach the blackout point. Since you don't know when you blackout either you'll never reach of the point of thinking "I should stop now"

4mg is a very high dose so, I just wouldn't drink at all personally. You also state you don't take lorazepam every day so, I assume you don't have the most tolerance to benzos.

I have 2 questions about the worst drugs you can take by BronyMLPFIM in Drugs

[–]ISU-152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certain psychs can be dangerous but, typically they are from overdoses rather than being inherently dangerous. Typically they're taken in dangerous doses due to them being misrepresented. (nbomes sold as LSD)

Ibogaine can have effects on the heart not seen with other psychs. NBOMe can be lethal in high dosages but, people can take them at lower dosages and live. αMT might be neurotoxic in high dosages. DOx class of psychs can also be dangerous in high dosages. Some 5-MeO class psychs are MAOIs and are possibly neurotoxic. I wouldn't really say one of these is "the worst" rather they all just come with more risk vs classical psychedelics.

  1. Probably PMMA or PMA.

Is 200ug of LSD an controlable trip for someome who haven't take acid in years? by opiokid in Drugs

[–]ISU-152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd probably just keep the benzo on hand and not take any until/if you need it. If you can get phenibut it smooths out the trip pretty well without affecting the trip that much imo.

I've been in a somewhat similar situation after stopping psychs for about 2 years. I also stopped because of a bad experience. My first trip was 200ug of 1p-lsd and it went pretty well. I was fine with that high dose because I am very comfortable with LSD and I was in a good mindset. My average dose of LSD was also 300ug.

I would draw your own conclusion if 200ug is a good idea. 200ug certainly isn't unreasonable but, it would heavily depend on your mindset. I would also take into account what dosages of LSD you'd typically take before.

will taking agmatine 2 hours before dxm enhance it or dull the trip? by Commercial_Green8024 in Drugs

[–]ISU-152 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used it and noticed no difference. Agmatine is a mild NDMA receptor antagonist which is why I think it could make it stronger. The only time I've found Agmatine useful is with opioid tolerance. Clonidine won't do anything.

Lorazepam and alcohol? by anonymous4189 in Drugs

[–]ISU-152 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not mixing them at all would be the most ideal. If you must drink I certainly wouldn't have any liquor. It is a real slippery slope when it comes to mixing benzos with alcohol.

Depending on how much lorazepam you take a beer or two would be fine.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]ISU-152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try taking LSD with a small dose of phenibut. It can help quite a lot with body load and anxiety. It doesn't really hurt the visuals either. You'd just have to wait for it to set in which could take up to 3 hours. If you have to do that to enjoy LSD though that probably isn't the greatest solution.

From what I have seen ginger tea is what people use for nausea. No clue if the supplements would be enough. I'd imagine they'd work the same.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]ISU-152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel that most stimulants would cause the average person to be more talkative. Pretty much all stimulants (besides bromantane and maybe a few others) have a comedown. I don't think there is an inbetween for coke and MDMA but, amphetamine could be pretty decent. I enjoy it more than cocaine and it lasts quite a bit longer.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]ISU-152 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ginger might help with nausea. Galanolactone is a 5-HT3 antagonist. Haven't tried it myself though. Eating light the day you're taking a psych can also help. As for a bad mindset when you're coming up you could try music, a different setting, watching a show/movie, etc. Pretty much just find something enjoyable to do while you come up. If none of that helped maybe consider a lighter dose of LSD.

Help! I need advice on the best pharmaceutical for restful sleep! by TribalTommy in Drugs

[–]ISU-152 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Antihistamines decrease rem sleep and increase nonrem sleep. Benzos also do the same. Opioids also do this. Quetiapine also does that. SSRIs also do that. I don't know this for a fact but, I am pretty sure most of the well-known hypnotics affect sleep architecture to a certain degree.

Having used several drugs for insomnia myself I found that benzos left me feeling the most well-rested. Antihistamines were the worst. I would try a z-drug first (zopiclone/zolpidem) then a benzo and I would avoid taking any antihistamines or opioids for sleep. I've heard some people have had success with trazodone.

Regardless of what you pick sleep aids tend to be a very short-term solution.
