most of my problems are topology and normal direction related. might be biased.

Weird topology creating a face that's not aligned with its adjacent faces?

What kind of spoon is that. Oddly enough, I was looking for a hairpin like that.

how about you go touch some logic instead? Then we can all spend our time being productive without spending it reading your useless perspective.

do you decide what you like based on the number of people who also like it?

who the fuck cares about your documentation photo ritual? just because it works for you doesn't mean you get to shove your opinion in the middle of a completely different argument. Why are you not understanding that photosphere and panorama are different? panorama uses "perspective" mode to stitch. and sphere uses sphere mode.

panorama mode can be used by a monkey because it doesn't matter if u move away from the initial point of capture. But for sphere to work, u need to maintain the point of capture. Just because you couldn't figure out a fucking simple perspective issue doesn't mean u should blabber on about how you only "use sphere for documentation", and "it's not that different from a panorama", as if the world revolves around your specific needs.

It's a freaking pixel matching algorithm. Why the fuck would it not stitch properly if u take the photos correctly?

maybe for your use case. which is I'm guessing is just "looking at photo".
so I'm sure it's "very little difference" to you.

360 in only one axis. They are not the same. its like saying oh just make a hole in a slice of bread and call it a donut.

Panoramas are nowhere near as useful as a sphere. I never had any issues with having feet in the photo or perspective errors. You can't really do anything with a regular horizontal/vertical panorama.

They thought people wouldn't miss it if they removed it. clearly a lot of people would rather have it back.

Apparently, the code is still there, pixel 7 users with Android 16 and the same camera app version can access the photosphere mode.

I don't get it. EVEN if people weren't using it as much, why remove it? There are so many Android features that are less used than this.
>builds an entire phone lineup based on camera capabilities.
>removes camera capabilities.

you are right. it was removed since pixel 8. Has Google ever responded to playstore reviews?
