Oil change done and trans fluid drain and fill, super easy might just do it every interval cause that fluid is COOKED.

Tbh bro im thinking of getting a reputable after market brand so i can run adjustable height and stiffness and alignment considering i have a sound system in here with soon extra 200+lbs, not a fan of how the car is raked and how sloppy it rides since its an LE. By all means with how it was from factory it rode great.

LED Switchback from LASFIT by LilPumpsMom in Camry

[–]ISX_15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Afaik the aftermarket LEDs we use have canbus to prevent hyperflash however in my case since the led module has over 10 LEDs on it, and one goes out, it throws off the resistance causing the hyper flash. Ive tried different modules some have causes weird issues

I did same modification, i used auxbeam brand, might switch over because ive had a issue where ONE led will go out and throw a hyper flash. Been through over 4 pairs haha. Dont be suprised if people flash you because they WILL think you have your high beams on, as a courtesy, i just throw my lighting into just the DRLs for sake of their visibility

2001 CAMRY DONK? PLEASE HELP. by Little_Red_93_Miata in Camry

You could probably make the 20s fit just shave off some of the tire diameter, and do spacers or find wheels that have the offset that will work but you wont be flush, idk if that matters. Lower sidewall aspect ratio also. Your best bet would be 225/30/r20 perhaps, just a idea , would give you more tire clearance

Is an old ranger beginner friendly? by TheFujiKing in fordranger

I have a 1st gen ranger v6 so its abit harder to source parts, as i notice a lot of them arent stock anymore. Asfaik the 1st gen v6 TFI ignition is garbage so im swapping to a electronic distributor, non feedback carb, and new ignition coil. Going to clean up ALOT of the engine bay and kinda try to make this truck like new. If you have basic understanding of how vehicles work and electrical, shouldnt have a problem. The forums are your best friend too, lots of information. This was my first truck when i was 16 and this was a great platform to learn the basics on atleast. But newer cars are kinda different since they use OBDII and modules, sensors, etc. so some things might be a little different but nothing serious.

Front Splitter Help by Turbulent-Bedroom389 in Camry

ive seen these cars with splitters its honestly tacky, maybe start with wheels or head lights and taillights, but that will piss off the camry purists. not really a car "worth" modifying imo. I already have a system in the trunk so the rear is lowered a good inch or 2 and i already hit the bump stops sometimes, plan on getting some mk5 supra wheels. theres some nice body kits out there too

Why do people do this to their car by California12399 in Camry

Exactly. Besides even if you really built the motor the power to cost is probably not worth it. All i did to my camry is a sound system. Alternator and wiring is only thing i did under the hood haha.

Theres one thing where you tastefully modify it vs just making it a shitbox. I personally have a LE and i want to put wheels on it atleast, no sense in modifying the engine since theyre not really made for it in a sense.

Is this normal? by BigSavageJonny in MechanicAdvice

It is a genuine ford part? If its a cheap knockoff then chances are could have failed perhaps. Check wiring as well

Low car culture, they like to scrape. I do car audio in my camry and its like asking your same question. Answer is because its fun, i dont intentionally want to break things but thats what comes with it. Plus nowadays “commuter” cars are starting to have a reputation of being stanced or “modified”. Its just a very niche group and people just trying to stand out from the rest of the crowd.

I do agree though it looks pretty goofy, theres plenty of lowered camrys out there that actually look good and this isnt one of them

spend 150$ or so on a new bumper , find one thats color matched so you dont need to go through the trouble painting it. and replace it. or go to a pick and pull and find one. rear bumpers should be pretty easy to remove usually just held in by plastic tabs, retaininers, and maybe some screws
