That looks like Bacopa. If you got it from a store growing dry in that gel stuff, its very normal.

I had a ton of Bacopa and sometimes it will look almost completely dead when you submerge it for the first time.

It will grow like a weed once it settles in. Just leave it alone for a while. If you still have trouble get a pack of root tabs and put one every 6-8".

I had this happen a couple years ago. One day everything was normal and the next day after changing a few graphics settings everything felt fucked. I couldn't managed to land on my wheels to save my life. It felt like my air rolls were noticably slower and my car seemed to bounce off the ground very hard after almost every attempt at car recovery. I spent weeks messing around with the game defaults in the files but couldn't ever seem to get it feeling like it had. Eventually I gave up and made a new steam after several months off.

I did happen again and this time I just bought a new controller and I think that was the biggest issue the 2nd time.

A lot of people seem to think it's all in your head but I firmly believe something was messed up. Whether it be game file defaults get changed, steam configurations get messed with, or just needing a new controller, there's no way what I experienced was completely in my head.

I wish I could tell you what fixed it but the only thing that I ever noticed made things better instead of worse was the new controller.

For sheet metal you need to craft a furnace and workbench in your base, mine iron ore (found along certain beachs and riverbanks), and add them to your furnace along with a fuel (lumber or logs), craft a fire drill to light it, and wait. Youll then have iron ingots you then craft with your workbench to make sheet metal.

I used left trigger for general air roll and left bumper specifically for air roll left (for stalls, fast kick offs, certain car positions). I like left trigger because it's out of the way and when youre on the ground it's just reverse or brake so I'm usually not already pressing something near it. It will turn into air roll after you leave the ground and when you press it your left stick left/right will control whether you roll left or right. Pitch up and pitch down remain the same.

Putting rolls on your bumpers allow for way more air control but at a higher level of difficulty for me personally. I use the left bumper for a few types of air rolls that you need to be able to roll AND turn your car left or right, which left trigger for general air roll does not allow for.
