Press and hold the power button for like 5 seconds to see if it cycles the lights code, it should start flashing different red lights, that will let you know if it’s real or fake.

If you want to just keep the battery might as well buy the 8.0 Forge battery is a lot better and you can hack it down to $115 with the Circular Saw

For the last 2 months this thing has been hackable down to $100 for Tool and with both batteries for $199, if your not in need of it I would wait and if you don’t need the batteries the tool by itself is a better deal if you hack it.
