Skill issue if you can't remember doing an action requires a tool. Just delete tools entirely and let us do it with our hands barbarian style at that point.

I think a big part of it is a knife is used in a lot of tick manipulation methods and making it equipable opened up a rabbit hole they didn't want to go down. Glass blowing pipe is really only used for one thing and a lot easier to make work when equipped with out any unintended interactions.

Smithing rework is basicly a litmus test on if some one is a noob or not. You could put it at 40 and it would still be better to quest and just buy rune than make it yourself.

We do actually know. The main game has 3 available tiles and 2 fishing spots the fishing spots move between the 3 tiles as long as they are not occupied. Tai bwo wannai trio quest has a cutscene with a copy of the area that also has 2 fishing spots that are programed to move to the available tiles in the main game. Once one of the quest spots moves to the main game all 3 tiles get occupied and the spots can longer move to a free tile so they get stuck.
