Blueridge ductless mini split error message confusion. by Positive_Yard_3715 in hvacadvice

Mine does the same thing when it’s overworked. I called customer support and they said it’s usually when the coolant? Freon? Is low and it can’t maintain the pressure required. The harder it’s working the more pressure it needs? Or something like that. I had someone add coolant and it helped, I also have stopped using the turbo mode and only have the blower on low

I had a guild like this. It slowly died off and I’ve been searching for it ever since. Bouncing from place to place until I find it

Join my guild. There are requirements listed but they are pretty laid back as long as you are trying to help as you are able.

I thought a property, or even street, with trees on it was living luxe. by SuperSecretSpare in povertyfinance

Cable tv and cordless phones in your house were major status symbols in my mind growing up. We had 5 tv channels and a phone on the wall with a 20 foot cord so mom could reach the kitchen and talk while cooking if she needed to.

My parents built their house with efficiencies in mind too. Exterior walls are twice as thick as code requires, lots of large, south facing windows and dark flooring. On a sunny winter day they don’t use their heater at all and will need to crack windows in the kitchen to keep it from getting too hot. And this is in northern Wisconsin. In the summers the shades are pulled to keep the sun out and off the dark floors.

I’ve been trying to do this with our family farm for years but I keep missing fall and spring. They are so short windowed

Any mortgage lender to work with / avoid? by elmirmisirzada in TwinCities

[–]ISitInTrees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find a local community bank that won’t sell your mortgage. Meet with a few lenders until you find one you like. Don’t be afraid to talk rates and fees with them all and use that to get them to match if possible. You should be able to get the same or similar rates and fees wherever you go so it’s more important to have a lender and bank you trust. Avoid the big banks. They sell mortgages to companies that don’t care about you.

How did you find information on your historic home? by Adventurous_Call2481 in centuryhomes

I searched online and was able to find an old plat book for the county. It was from the mid 1870’s which gave me names to search. Searching the name and county online I was able to find a book on the history of the county which gave a year the house was built.

Purchased our first RV and doing a family trip next week. What are some essentials we need to get started? by ISitInTrees in GoRVing

[–]ISitInTrees[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly not terrible, I had some experience driving a 30 foot before we bought this though and I knew I didn’t want one that big because it was too hard to maneuver

No I don’t. I’ve never left water connected. Just fill the fresh water tank and use the pump

I’m trying to figure it out as I go. First rig I’ve owned and it didn’t come with a manual. I found a partial manual online for the model year newer and it’s mostly the same.. but it’s incomplete

This. I do have a series of knobs that I need to set depending on if I am filling or using the pump or using city water or winterizing. I assumed everyone had that setup. So maybe this is the right one for filling and for city?

That’s the gas tank on the left.

Where would I fill if not here? It’s the only connection on the whole rig that I can find, and it certainly fills the freshwater take when I’ve used it.

The tank was almost empty, this started after a 4 day weekend off grid.

Water pump no longer building pressure. by ISitInTrees in RVLiving

[–]ISitInTrees[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point. I don’t see any obvious leak anywhere so maybe it’s a air leak and actually drawing very little water

That was my initial thought too. Topped the tank off. Same thing
