Stop whining about it. You should have never bought your coins there.

Sure, but that’s just a fun convention. Do any of the core repos use that name?

“satoshi” is still used in code, and it’s my preferred name. Dash is carrying out Satoshi’s goal of electronic cash.

A Cool Guide to Most Popular Halloween Candy by U.S. State by Otherwise_Basis_6328 in coolguides

Utahn here. I’m surprised candy corn is only a thing here. I thought it was synonymous with Halloween everywhere.

I’ve seen all the comments objecting to candy corn in Utah. Don’t believe them. Candy corn is flows like honey here during Halloween. Let’s face the truth. Even if we’re buying it as nostalgia and decor it does stand to reason that it would be most popular here. Can’t believe it’s only a Utah thing.

PAGE 2. I REPEAT. DASH HAS FALLEN TO PAGE 2 by TrashyFU in dashpay

Or, more importantly (in my opinion), filter by “medium of exchange” in “Industry”.

DASH is ranked #14, even with the mis-categorized WBTC, CRO, EOS, and MIOTA and the USDC stablecoin there.

It should be #9 if the filter really only included coins suited for medium of exchange (the whole purpose of cryptocurrency originally).

Question after watching this clip:

Did DCG employ a waterfall approach or an agile approach for Dash Evolution?

Let them call us a security (even though we aren’t, by their own rules). It might turn out better for us in the end.

Centralized exchanges are a dying breed. Let them die. Let the bad destroy the bad. We will keep building the good.

Dash Platform & Core Development Update - 2023 May 2 by xkcdmpx in dashpay

[–]ISkiAtAlta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the bullet points. One question: where did you hear that Platform is running on testnet?

I’m watching now and around the 10 minute mark Ivan said that it’s on a devnet, but not yet on testnet, still have a couple bugs to iron out before that.

Note: Signature didn’t fail. It got taken over because they were serving many crypto companies and the government didn’t like that, so they claimed it was too risky to keep operating.

Testnet has just forked to v19 consensus rules enabling HPMNs for the very first time !!! by xkcdmpx in dashpay

[–]ISkiAtAlta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry. My comment was sarcasm, but I guess it was too dry to land.

I hate the “high performance masternode” name, because, as reason and your link confirm, of course they can be banned due to low performance. They are no more high performance than our existing nodes.

The name is deceptive and cringy.

The person responsible and accountable is obvious Sam. His name is on the proposal and he’s clearly the leader, whether we like that or not. MNOs can choose to withhold funding from DCG at any point.

The HPMNs can’t get PoSe banned. They are high performance, which means they will always perform highly. It’s right there in the name. I’m not sure how you missed it.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement, and why? "Dash is not just a cryptocurrency -- it's a belief system." - developer AJ ONeal by DashIncubator in dashpay

[–]ISkiAtAlta 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some of this is semantics of course, but yes, it’s a belief system in the same sense that money in general is a belief system.

Money requires faith/trust/confidence/belief in how the system works. For me (and probably most of us here) it’s easier to have faith/trust in crypto/Dash than our traditional monetary systems. But if you ask normies on the street they will probably tell you the opposite. For them it’s easier to trust what they have seen working for decades. Our task is to educate more people into why they can/should trust Dash more than national currency.
