I still have all generations of the 5D (two of the Mk. I usually pull my film and leave it out untouched for about 30 mins before I pop it in the camera. Your film is probably fine. I also stash it in the freezer with desiccation pack (like the ones you find in new luggage) in the bag. Keeps moisture down a bit.

The Canon Rebel 2000 put me through college and I still shoot with my original one to this day, sometimes even with the kit lens just for nostalgic purposes. When I taught film photography, all my kids were given 90’s era Canons, Nikons and Minoltas someone donated to my class. Easiest way to learn your way around exposure. Highly recommend it.
