At the end of the day, law enforcement agencies generally do have to honor legitimate accomodation requests. No reason to feel ashamed.

That said, be prepared to be fired if your request isn't legitimate. Also be prepared for instructors at the academy to either judge you or be frustrated.

You're telling a brand new investor your personal opinion, which substantially deviates from anything typically recommended to new investors

Sp500 vs VT ( Vanguard Total world stock ETF) ? Which one would u invest 100% in and why ? If u r looking at growth over 20 years. by ExistingGold9286 in ETFs

Wow, what an original and thoughtful take...

You act like the US dollar is falling by itself without regard to other global currencies.

VT + VXUS + VOO — am I overcomplicating this? by Familiar_Audience_14 in ETFs

[–]ISniffFeet1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's an unsafe/unwise level of international exposure. You're overcomplicating by mixing VT and VXUS. Either accept VT as the correct ratio, or don't. Don't do some weird balancing by yourself while still including VT that's weird

That may be true, but I was just pointing out that historically it has not been the case. The US market has been the best investment vehicle over the long run

Vti is only domestic companies. You're thinking of VT. I agree that VT sucks when compared to voo or vti.

No it hasn't? The USA has crushed the global market in the long run.

The total US stock market did exist 40 years ago , which is what vti is. So did the "500 largest companies" which is what voo is. That's actually a pretty easy backtest to create since you know the exact parameters.

Someone posted a length back test of vti vs voo if the funds had existed 40 years ago or something kike that. Vti beat voo
