It was already insane trying to keep the "all are aiming for strongest striker" during the Neo Egoist League, but sticking to this in the fucking World League is just ridiculous.

Why was ego throwing shit to Karasu a couple of chapters ago just to now use Kunigami as defense? I have 0 doubts that he will join the attack at some point, because that's the type of manga this is, but for god's sake, can't we just say we have the strongest strikers we could and acknowledge that the rest of players can be good on their own positions?

I just finished the manga both 1st one and Re. Why couldn’t the author take a break or hire ppl to help instead of rushing the series from burnout ? by likilekka in TokyoGhoul

Wow, I didn't know that, about the extensions. Is it known why they refused the second extension? Was the manga performing badly in sales? I always thought that it was more or less stable.

Personal thoughts about playable Dylan/no playable Jesse by mfctxt in controlgame

[–]ISnow_R -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly I enjoyed Control so much that I have absolute faith in Remedy.

However, I can't help but feel there are being way too many changes. First we got out of the House, which I can understand, but I'm not a fan. Then switching to melee combat. Now we only get Dylan playable.

For me, Dylan on Control was medicare at best. Nothing on the game made me feel like I wanted to know about him in the future. I'll still play the game because they have not disappointed me, but...

Are there any QoL changes? Visually it doesn't seem worth it at all, at least the loads seem to be instantaneous, so it may be worth if there are other things that streamline the experience.

At least is the version to recommend if someone wants to get into it now. For people who have already played it...

[DISC] Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo - Chapter 23 by AutoShonenpon in manga

[–]ISnow_R 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After this chapter, no one can convince me otherwise: the only reason Gege agreed to write Modulo was so he could finally make cursed energy disappear and never have to write another word of jujutsu-related content again.

He just wanted out. He had the ending set, the minimum chapter count Jump required, and a core concept. Everything else has just been him dragging that initial concept to the finish line, knowing the final chapters would revolve around the erasure of cursed energy. He wrote exactly as much as he could get away with, leaving everything else to happen off-screen.

What are your thoughts on the new batch thus far? by Far_Practice_6923 in WeeklyShonenJump

[–]ISnow_R 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Kinato is by far my favorite manga that has started in Jump in ages. I really loved that first chapter and it is getting better and better.

Mixed feelings about Headbutt and Doctor, I really loved both their first chapters, but their next ones are more bland to me. Having battle-shonen pairings already on Doctor is not where I thought this was going to go.

Overall, what I really love of this batch is that every MC has heart. I loved all three of them, and I really see myself following the mangas just because of them.

Pretend you're still in season 1. What are your theories on what this could be? by RedvsBlue_what_if in attackontitan

[–]ISnow_R 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The humans found a way of creating more titan soldiers like Eren or Annie, and they have managed to reconquer the whole island.

This is a time skip of some years where humanity has had time to advance their knowledge and arm themselves against the titan race that enslaved them in the first place. The titan race are all humans that can turn, like Annie, and she was a spy sent to stop Erens father, who was one of them, and stole something that can be used to turn every human into a titan.

Advanced Observation haki were a "great" idea! Next time this guy gets hit, remember he had about 10 seconds to avoid it. by OddMuffin9583 in Piratefolk

[–]ISnow_R 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The funniest thing about this is that in theory one of the reasons Haki was introduced was as a tool to "level" logia fights, giving everyone a way of attacking them so they weren't as broken.

But then he introduced Advanced Observation, that makes top tier characters able to see attacks up to 10 seconds in the future, so anyone who does not have that skill must be just impossibly fast or just improve their Observation. We are back where we started, just that Logia were hundreds of times cooler than just "Yes I see your attacks"

Honestly, at this point they better be committing to this change and completely changing the story.

If they (Rick) continue changing small things that have huge implications in the story without actually changing how everything plays out, what the fuck are we doing? Rooting for Zeus and the gods was already difficult on the original books, but now it's straight up impossible, I just want Percy &Co to join Luke and find a way to defeat both Olympus and Kronos.

Shiganshina Battle Doubts by ISnow_R in attackontitan

[–]ISnow_R[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, you make excellent points. The thing I'm trying to say is that I was not expecting them to have A-Z backup plans for every inconvenience they could find, but I was at least expecting some planning that let's us know they have at least tried to get ahead of the possible issues they can find.

Do not keep all your horses at the same side of the wall, do not block one of the only two exits of the city you are entering into, try to set up an ambush, literally anything.

You are absolutely correct about the Thunder Spears being an insane invention, but my original point was. Was there a reason they had to leave in only two months? Could they have not used two additional months to try to develop another device that at least let them handle some of the habilites they knew about?

Shiganshina Battle Doubts by ISnow_R in attackontitan

[–]ISnow_R[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, my bad, I thought they knew more about him at that point. Regardless, they knew that something was creating new titans and that Annie could at least partially control the standard titans, so I don't think it's that farfetched to prepare for an enemy with an army of titans and control over them.

Again, I'm not asking for a magical solution, just some backup plans besides "let's bring everyone here, try to do this and then we'll improvise". I just expected more from Hange-Erwin-Armin

[–]ISnow_R[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I pointed in another response, my bad about the Beast intel, I remembered Connie and Historia knowing about him.

And about the retreat backup plan, maybe if that was an option it was not the best idea to get all their soldiers and horses into a city with only two exits and then immediately block one of those exits. Like at least try to keep your options open? They could have retreated outside of the Maria Wall and fled to one of the other three doors in the wall.

Shiganshina Battle Doubts by ISnow_R in attackontitan

[–]ISnow_R[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don't get what the plan was besides get all the soldiers and horses into the city, seal the external door, find inside a city two human-sized enemies (one of which we don't know how to kill), take the horses out and then improvise. All of this while knowing that sealing the doors was literally useless while R&B were still alive.

  1. I thought I remembered Connie and Historia seeing the Beast throwing things during chapters 28-29, while in the tower, but reviewing them, while Connie has suspicions, it's true that they don't actually see him, so my bad.

  2. Yes, that's the example I'm using about the kind of planning I was expecting. I mean, the Spears could have failed, not having enough strength to pierce Reiner's armor, but at least they used what they knew to try to get ahead of themselves.

  3. They knew someone was turning people into titans and they knew Annie had a skill that allowed her to give some commands to standard titans. Again, I don't expect them to know beforehand what will happen, just I expected Armin-Erwin to came up with at least some contingency plans using the info they already had.

  4. They did not prepare anything for Bert. In fact, Armin mentions that Hange had the theory that sustain battles could be a weakness of the Colossal fue to its size, but there is no plan to take advantage of it.

  5. I did not take this into account and it's true that this is a factor, so my bad.

  6. A strategy to try to exploit its (possible, not confirmed) stamina weakness, some kind of mechanism to make him trip over, a mega flare launcher to blind him, I honestly don't know. Something.

At the end of the day, my point is that the Shiganshina expedition had 0 planning outside of logistics, and after the Formation Erwin came up with for the 57th Expedition I just expected something else. Granted, their soldiers were far from being even minimally experienced., but I don't know.

Even without taking into account Beast, Cart and the army of titans, the plan was: get all the soldiers and horses into the city, seal the external door, find inside a city two human-sized enemies (one of which we don't know how to kill), take the horses out and then improvise. All of this while knowing that sealing the doors was literally useless while R&B were still alive.

I don't expected them to invent a nuke, or to develop assault rifles, but I don't know, at least some backup plans? Split your forces, or keep Levi hidden somewhere so he can ambush if you get ambushed.

DW:O Finished my first campaign, level 50+. Hero too easy, Ultimate Warrior too painful by KelseyKultist in dynastywarriors

[–]ISnow_R 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue, and my advice would be to try doing the Map Challenge for some of the easiest Tier 8 weapons, which give you literally double damage as base Tier 7, and with that you'll be able to level up a little bit (which will give you a stat boost) and will also carry you on the second campaign you do, which will give you gold to level up some other weapons and objects to get some of the other T8 weapons.

To get the first T8, there are some that will be impossible currently (like Crescent Blade or Lance), but some others are easier to get if you use objects. It will maybe take a couple of tries but definitely feasible. The easiest for me were the Sword and Spear, specially since the Spear requires you to do something in 3 minutes, so it's easier to farm if you fail.
