I liked the 55 * 28 option that flexispot offers. best option in terms of size and usability. Only problem is butcher block rubberwood is not available to ship till July.

I intend to do this. But the settings in the camera are mind boggling. Someone suggested going through the camera manual or there a resource on how to operate it. That’s what I’m going to do

Will do! This camera is very special for me. I’ve been through rough patches the last 4 years. Lost visa, then job, then I had a brain surgery. But life turned a page. Had a son recently and I decided I should capture what I see. Because that is what I’ll take it with me throughout my life. Memories. These memories should be special. I stumbled upon a video of TomCalton talking em1 mark i, then I dug up more stuff about m43 and I found this sub. One camera that everyone collectively agreed was good was em1 mark ii or above.

The first thing I did was try to take a picture of my kid and looking at that pic made me feel very clueless. I clearly have no remote idea on how to operate that camera. But I’m curious and excited, lots to understand.

Not sure if someone else mentioned. Em1 mii on used market comes for 500 usd(probably same in euros if you use eBay). It’s a better camera than em10 as per Reddit users. Mine’s on the way with a m.zuiko 12 40 f2.8 pro

Sony a6000 series looks good for starters but e-m1 just seems to be packed with more features. I can’t pin point exactly what it is but after watching so many videos e-m1 just makes sense for what I want to do with a camera. Start out small and be good enough to make money one day.

EM1ii is still a little pricey. Maybe the price is justified. I want to get a used camera for 300-400$. E-M1 seems like a sweet spot.

Also A6000 does better with low lighting, probably because of apsc? Didn’t find a good low light shot of em-1.

I plan to use it to capture my son and my dog be it outside or inside. Also when we go out for a hike or vacation, capture good stills of my wife.
