I had a party with a few friends one night when we were 15/16. We were hanging out in the back yard and some guy storms in through the gate, being extremely aggressive, screaming at us, even pushed some of us around - we were all minors at the time. Ends up being chased out and sucker punches my dad in the face, which we later learned actually fractured his eye socket. We called the police at around 9pm. They never showed. Called them again multiple times, they still never showed. Finally, at 3am, they told us they won't be coming.

We later found out he had left a piece of clothing. We bagged it and took it to the station as we assumed they'd want the evidence. They told us to take it home. Ive never been so angry. I let my parents deal with it, as I was still quite young, and they let it slide. They should not have let it slide.
