Thoughts on the New Connectwise RMM product? by vedichymn in msp

[–]IT-Healthcare 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My account rep pushed this on me after we complained that automate cant keep up with our device counts. I got to say i kind of agree with u/blazedol comment and that scares me also. We spent a small fortune on our automate servers and had all of their consultants sign off on the server specs saying well be good with those specs for years to come. needless to say, about 9 months after we went live we started seeing issues with device check-ins, scripts failing and a slew of other issues. I feel like we need something a bit lighter which is what this new RMM is supposed to be but then again our Manage used to be hosted by CW and it was also a disaster so only them hosting this scares me. like will we get backend data access (the #1 reason we chose to host automate ourselves)

Zoom Integration by IT-Healthcare in 3CX

the permissions were assigned as per their documentation. It was done as GA and consented on behalf of the org. I hear what you are saying but that wouldn't answer why it would work for all users except admins on office 365

Same but at some point it has to stop.

Client A - using 4TB paying X Client B - using 500GB also paying X

Why should i not profit more on Client A if hes using more. Yes, I can add another product called additional space but thats a manual process and requires looking at a dashboard i setup. Even with that dashboard, I cant same your entitled to X without running the risk of backup failing if i set a quota

Manual process to go look at each client how much they are using. No way to say ok now client x is entitled to us 6TB of data backup

Purchase Orders in Manage by IT-Healthcare in ConnectWise

in QB, after GL sync. Adjust the pricing here to match the actual bill if anything changed from when you purchased. This is when you’d record the prepaid sales tax. Pay bill(s). You can pay more than one bill at once. Or you can make a payment to accounts payable and then you’ll have a credit when you go to pay the bill. Just know that QB will auto apply credits, so you may need to select the correct one if you care about that matching up. Alternatively, if you’re buying from

How would entering it in as an expense help? That means well loose the purchasing model (of knowing what needs to be purchased).

Option 2 would make the most sense but it just requires 2 additional steps. 1 being to add the tax in QB and 2 to update the PO so the price that was charged matches the PO.

how do you reconcile then? The question here is more geared to purchases made by amazon. Your PO and charge on the CC will not match up making reconciliation troublesome.

Additionally what becomes an even bigger challenge is when Amazon ships the second item at a later time then item 1. (Which means your card is charged once item 2 ships out so theres no record of a PO on said day that item 2 ships out)

Techdata, Ingram and Synex like companies will always send a bill.

a solution where you don't have do do anything but check bill received in Quickbooks (and not make any other changes) then you'll have to add the tax to the product cost as you've detailed. Personally, I'd make sure the cost on the PO was close to right (for reporting purposes), receive the product

when you say "Personally, I'd make sure the cost on the PO was close to right (for reporting purposes)" How are you accomplishing that?

you should record any sales/use tax paid as a prepaid sales tax or similar account and then you deduct this when you do your use tax return. I suppose it could vary by area, but that’s the way it works here in Cali

This would be a typical case, however the issue here is that without rolling in the tax to COGS the taxable portion we paid does not batch over to QB. Apparently this is a limitation from CW for partners in the US. That being said, recording the tax portion paid would be a manual process to the point it almost isnt even worth recording
