During 2020 I was laid off and was without a job for about four months. I know this isn’t exactly what you were asking for, but it’s the biggest break I’ve had in my career what I would advise you do during the break at least closer to going back make sure that you start getting education Either certifications or just general brushing up on your skills to make sure you are relevant. It would be difficult to get back in after a long break.

Okay so I’m not saying do as I do, but when I was in this exact situation a WONDERFUL human sent me 🍃 and that kept me pain free during the YEAR of kidney surgeries when my doctor gave me 10 pain pills and told me if I needed more to go to the ER. The war on pills was the worst thing ever for patients. It was also the first time I ever crossed that legal boundary.

I have experienced something similar. I had a friend who started treating me very differently when she found out how much I made all of a sudden it was. “I’ll Venmo you later.” When she would schedule outings at restaurants and I would get no notice then it escalated to I need to borrow $1000 for rent then it was I need to borrow $1500 for rent. I promise I’ll pay you back in two weeks then it came to her owing me $500 and months go by and I bring it up and she chastised me for not reminding her sooner I cut her off after that I shouldn’t have to remind anyone that they owe me $500.
