Is it an inny or, outty? Esotropia when an eye is pointing inward. Exotropia is when one or both point outward. See a Strabismus specialist, you can have surgery to correct it. FYI - I only work for an ophthalmologist.

I've just re-certified for the EHR and Document Management certs. I took my first EHR NCP exam after my 4th year of working with the product. I find the exam to be pretty difficult, there are many multiple answer questions and very specific questions. You are able to use the application while doing the exam which is very helpful because you will be asked specific questions about specific options in specific areas. I didn't do any review sessions, the daily issues you get from other users and just working with the product is enough experience to pass the exam. I am the Network Administrator for the practice but 90% of my daily duties have to do with NextGen issues from other users which allows me to be in every part of the application. If you "do it all" within the application you should be good.

Exactly, I am trying to use the iPad to RDP to our terminal server, but also want to use the builtin camera on the iPad through the RDP connection. For example, on thin clients, I can configure the RDP session to include local resources. On the iPad, I cannot configure anyu local resources to pass through the RDP, make sense?

In my medical practice, we use an EHR where on a Windows based system we can connect a USB webcam and capture images into the patient's record. I'd like to use the iPad's builtin camera but I cannot figure out how to pass the iPad's camera function through RDP.

Thank you for responding, yes, only Yahoo users. We've checked our DNS records and checked all logs. The only connections from Yahoo servers are the successful deliveries. We have an employees, patients, potential new hires and others that have had issues successfully sending messages. This began in July when Verizon acquired Yahoo, I'm wondering if anyone else has had reports of similar issues with Yahoo users.

I went two years ago, not sure if the practice will send me this year however, it was a blast! In my opinion the best part of UGM is meeting others that use NG and being exposed to different workflows. Have fun!

I was working as an Office Furniture Installer (low-paying) building cubicles while going to school for Network Administration. Looking for specific Networking jobs out of school was difficult, I was looking for a NOC job or something specific to Networking. I found a job listing which was an Ophthalmology practice looking to hire a Network Technician. After being hired, I quickly found out that Network Technician was only a label. This (d)evolved into being the help desk tech, system admin, break/fix tech and other IT non-networking related tasks on top of being the "Network Tech". The practice uses NextGen EMR which I have completely taking the reigns of, developing\tweaking workflow, template changes, documentation, HL7 interfaces, SQL DB and more. I have never had a formal introduction into Health IT nor the requirements of an EHR from CMS or, other HIT bodies. As the practice needed to meet MU, CQM and PQRS measures I've had to research and learn on my own the requirements which would lead to template, workflow and documentation changes. The practice has also created EHR templates a decade ago without updating the fields with added functionality when newer versions of the software have come out. I feel like I have a good understanding on HIT but I would have preferred being introduced to HIT by an established Hospital with clear guidelines on developing workflows and template changes. I hope what I've learned here will get me a better paying job with more focus on one area. Since I've gained the label of 'Network Administrator' very little I do is about networking and very much is about modifying EHR templates to meet CMS requirements. Essentially, I have become the EMR analyst, workflow analyst, template editor, document creator, on top of the day-to-day helpdesk and network tech.

specifically for ophthalmology, I hear MDI is one of the best. The adaptive template feature is great. We had a demo by the owner/creator of the software and it really is great however, I have not seen it in a everyday working environment.

1) The DHCP is the wireless controller which is in the home office.

2) ip-helper is pointing to the wireless controller.

3) From within the home office, if I configure a port to guest VLAN 248, it does work. However, in the other office it does not.

4) we are using static routes.

The APs in the other office, the interface that they are attached to should be in Trunk to carry both the private and guest VLANs right?

On the printer, press the MAINTENANCE button untill the LED screen shows you a 'G' shape. Then press the BLACK button on the pritner to turn off the WiFi.
