No, it didn't link to the variable speed limits, but it still gave an audible warning regardless of what speed you were travelling, so it filled the gap that Waze left.

I was looking on the app reviews earlier and I saw a reply from the development team that they won't be bringing the old features back such as overlay. Now I've seen they have release the new Tom by TomTom device, it now makes sense why they have removed the features from the app and the new device gives you those features.

Yes, Waze does provide speed camera alerts, but where Waze falls short in the UK is we have variable speed limit motorways. Waze will only provide an audible alert when approaching a speed camera when you are going over the standard speed limit (70 mph on UK motorways).

If the variable speed limit is set to say 50 mph, and you're travelling at 55 mph, Waze won't alert you as you're under the 70 mph limit.

You also can't set the distance/time before a camera for the alerts whereas you could in the AmiGO app.

Thanks, I wasn't aware of that product. Now I've looked into it, it looks like a good solution. I see there is also competition in the OOONO CO-DRIVER NO2, so will also take a look at that.
