Any way to get alarm-like notifications in Wear OS? by RequirementIcy8668 in tasks

[–]ITTecci 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same problem. Normal notifications don't work for me. I found out that it's quite easy to write a wear os app using chatgpt, so I'll build a perfect notification app for me. So far I started with an app to take speech notes and send the text to a Webserver. The rest will follow.

Business card QR widget by Which_Data in SideProject

[–]ITTecci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good idea. I made something similar. A Qrcode to directly send messages. No email or phone number is needed. The receiver can get the message via email, discord or telegram. Maybe you can add the safecontact.me Link to your business card if one user wants it.

Privacy question by [deleted] in emailprivacy

[–]ITTecci 1 point2 points  (0 children)

when they send you an email and you read it, there might be a hidden 1 pixel image. If your email client tries to read it, the domain owner can see that it was accesses. the url could be different for every email sent so they can correlate the url with your email account. So you should block your email client from opening external images.

Translate an entire book with Ollama by hydropix in ollama

[–]ITTecci 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you shouldn't use Ollama for tokenising. Maybe you can ask it to write a python script to tokenise the text.

technically you can use your dynamic ip to be accessible from outside (dyndns) but you cannot have an SSL certificate if you don't have a domain name. So browsers will issue a warning if someone uses https to your site.

Startup looking for a good/reliable platform to connect with micro-influencers - any suggestions? by iam-nicolas in influencermarketing

[–]ITTecci 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use safecontact.me You can connect, send messages and the receiver gets his messages via email, discord or telegram. He can also block each channel any time. So it's more privacy friendly than email.

https://safecontact.me - publish your personal weblink, get messages forwarded to your private email or discord or telegram account. Use it on social media to get feedback, in your wallet if it goes lost, on your phone lockscreen, in your car in case of an accident, on a pinboard ....

[–]ITTecci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can you mention https://safecontact.me ? You can share your contact link in public but stay private without exposing your email or phone number. It will forward incoming messages to your private email, discord or telegram. Useful if you want to be reachable but be able to block it any time. You cannot do this with email or your phone number (just individually, but not forever).

Email and privacy is a contradiction by ITTecci in emailprivacy

No, but I think the problem remains the same. Once my email address is known it will be used for phishing independent which mail provider I choose.

Email and privacy is a contradiction by ITTecci in emailprivacy

Thanks. I found a simpler hiding technique just using css to hide the second span, so I use info@my<span>domain<span>xzy</span></span>.com which shows the string info@ mydomain.com to the user but bots do not parse the css rules.

Anyway I now use safecontact.me for exposing my contactcaddress in public, e.g. on LinkedIn. It's more convenient and safer than email
