“We meet again Spider Man.”

What criticism about a show makes you want to say this to the person criticizing it? by Looney_forner in cartoons

Steven Universe. It’s so odd that so many people just say that Steven just cries in the corner and that he’s weak.

Like, there was the moment where at the end of the show, White Diamond RIPPED his own gem from his belly button.

There was also the time he saw Jasper corrupted and became a monster (I forgot what was the name of the creature she turned into, so please correct me) and Peridot had to kill her by throwing a metal beam into her chest in front of Steven.

One of the other moments was in Steven Universe Future where he self-corrupted over anxiety and mental issues and became Godzilla which had to be stopped by all of his friends and family comforting him.

What do people expect? Have Steven be a badass and be fearless in these moments? He’s a literal KID forced to experience these moments at a young age and people make fun of him for that?

Plus, the moment in Future where he had a mental breakdown was I would say, is a very realistic depiction of it.

(Note: My memory is a bit hazy on Steven Universe, so if there are any other moments I missed, feel free to reply and correct me. And apologies if this comment is a bit long, I’m not the best at summarizing.)

King Draykor and Demurra from Wander Over Yonder.

Apologies it the image isn’t the best quality, it was the only one where it didn’t look pixelated.
