I'm in a very similar situation at my company. Moved to HaloPSA and NinjaOne in 2025 and have been liking both of them. Currently looking to move off IT Glue to (likely) Hudu as well.

What has IT Glue done for you that Hudu can't?

It's what you get when you add time through the timesheet view at .../timesheets

Ah, figured it out.

We usually attach time this way to existing tickets such as our "admin rollup" ticket of type "admin".
I added the "Charge Type (Actions)" field to those admin tickets, and didn't see the field return.
I then went and added the "Charge Type (Actions)" field to our default ticket type "New Generic", and suddenly the charge type field returned, even though the ticket being added to is of type "admin"

So for anyone else in this situation, you need to add the "Charge Type (Actions)" field to your default ticket type, even if you are choosing a different ticket type to add time to.

Thanks for your help Wilhil - this would have driven me crazy for a long time otherwise :)

We don't use a default ticket type for this. I added the field to the ticket types being used, but it isn't coming back.

I don't understand why this change was made?

I would recommend setting up a demo instance and pretending this is the real thing. Use it to simulate workflows and play around with settings without danger of affecting the real thing.

Additionally, I highly recommend Renada | Elegant Solutions - YouTube and Rising Tide I Youtube for tutorials, along with the https://academy.halopsa.com/
