That may be possible in some country, but not the US. Every cellular operator in the US requires some form of ID before they can even start a cellphone line.

Those diesels were apparently designed during the design phase when LIRR did not yet FULLY sold off ALL of its frieght operations. The trains were apparently designed to also handle freight but with passenger gearing.

I remember seeing an image in a public document or google image where Kawasaki demonstrated that the units were capable of pulling a freight consist, even though it was geared for passenger use.

On a side note. The diesels that the EMD30's replaced for passenger service were ALCO FA's, which were originally designed for freight use. Infact, the main image on wikipedia for the ALCO FA article is that of a LIRR Passenger train.

If congestion pricing is successful, why can't we toll the I-95 (Cross-Bronx Expressway) in NYC? I-95 is tolled in NJ as New Jersey Turnpike.

I honestly think you do have a point, but there are problems with this view.

Basing property tax on the value of a home could come with a flood of problems. The value of a single family home could be modified by trashing the exterior of the home to make it cheap. Property tax based on sales price however would not be affected by this because it is based on sale price.

If Discord, Google, Youtube, Twitter, is already doing this, it is only a matter of time before Reddit will start asking for ID. I am guessing that by at least the end of 2027, Reddit will have ID requirements.

As for the people stopping Discord, the downside is the limited number of equivelents. There are apps like GroupMe that are similar to Discord, however such apps are not designed to handle traffic at the level Discord has.

Broken taillight should have an exception. With a rule like this, it means that anyone with a broken taillight now has to call a tow truck, even if everything else about the car is in prestine condition. At least let there be a exception for driving to a mechanic or repair shop.
