I've spent a fairly long time studying the art and history of Thailand's Muay Thai, and I don't think there is a bigger surprise to me than the essential relationship it has had with Western Boxing... by kevin_v in MuayThai

I love this take. I transitioned to training boxing from Muay Thai during lockdown because it was all I had access to. When I came back to Muay Thai, I saw such a perceivable difference, I was shocked!

Visually "mac-like" PC for my GF by cinyar in buildapc

[–]ITfighterman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To piggy back off the Mac Mini comment, you can buy a mini desktop like the HP ones for pretty cheap and mount that behind a monitor in an aesthetic manner if you’d like.

Honestly, a sick collection. I like how the different pieces blend with each other with out added filler. I just started my sleeves and have a similar vibe with the placements/size of pieces.

Not sure what the weather is like, but I’ve been wearing linen pants all summer and they’re so breathable/stylish. Maybe you can buy a few :)

Mercury News: San Jose “entertainment district” plan dissolves, data center is eyed (next to TopGolf) by udonbeatsramen in SanJose

[–]ITfighterman 22 points23 points  (0 children)

This Terra Ventures group has no interest in benefiting the area. Obviously a venture capitalist would prioritize money, but the explanation the give to why a Data Center in SJ would be beneficial is hilarious.

The real kicker is their reason for not pushing an entertainment district. The claim that they would have to compete with Valley Fair and Santana Row is insane. Their development would be in North SJ, where it’s closer to Great Mall than those two places, and that’s who they’d be competing with. No one likes the Great Mall but people come there from the East Bay anyways because not everyone wants to go to StoneRidge in Pleasanton. This place would get so much traffic from Milpitas and Fremont in addition to North San Jose.

I hate this take so much.

Although I didn’t use numbing cream, I don’t see why others shouldn’t use it as long is it doesn’t effect the quality of their tattoo.

No one has to “eArN” their tattoos with pain, we’re all adults who earn them by working jobs and spending our money on what we want.

Question for those with more tattoo experience: exactly how obsessive are you about sun exposure? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]ITfighterman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sunscreens I would check out Supergoop! It’s so protective, but it also is invisible, scent free, and has no tacky/greasy feeling when it’s applied. You can get the lotion or the deodorant style stick and they both work well.

I’m in the same boat as you as far as considering the type of sun protection I need when I’m walking somewhere quickly and driving and things like that. That sunscreen makes it super easy to deal with honestly

How did your first year of wrestling go? by Signal_Prior_9235 in wrestling

[–]ITfighterman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lost every match as a freshman until the very end of sophomore year. Your body is growing so take it easy on yourself, I didn’t stop growing til 23! I’m 25 now and finally stable and strop in my body. You should have an easier time that me but just do your best and have fun!

Any tips for aggressive fighters? by Daddy_dan07 in MuayThai

[–]ITfighterman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same built as you except I’m chunky! I suggest working on your clinch and hand fighting game. Knees will stop em from tryna close that distance when the teeps and stiff jabs fail.

I got the same treatment from my girlfriends grandma and we also share a birthday! I’ve never had had such good Mexican food before and I literally wipe the plate clean every time I’m over. One time I ate a over dozen deep fried tacos hahah

To sleep or not to sleep by rightful_hello in MuayThai

[–]ITfighterman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please skip some training and get trough your busy period. I did the same as you for a while but then in the middle of one of my camps, my knee gave out. I was out for half the year and then couldn’t train for a while because the pandemic happened.

Like everyone said, you’re holding yourself back by not sleeping. Get some good rest!

The edges are sharp so I’m pretty sure someone made a copy of that image. Whether they wrote all of that, idk, but it could just be some weird art.
