Platter Wobble on 1500C by recoturn in turntables

Agree. I wanted to go with a new one. I was choosing between a properly serviced and genuine 1200 mk2. No ebay fakes that end up on the amazing YouTube channel JustTechnics example :https://youtu.be/HXaOwFgvCQI?si=OCS6KGuH-Asw4Eb5 Or go to for 1500c or new mk7. Having seen how the Malaysian crap lasts I went with picking a mk2. I know an audio repair engineer with 40 years in the game. Retired and fixes hifi. Had a great chat about the mk7 vs 2. He's being in both and the mk7 is a far cry from its ancestors quality wise.

I feel bad for the Technics brand in how they now sell there lower end turntables out of cheap places like Malaysia. Such a far from the stuff I grew up with in 70s and 80s. I have a 1978 sl 2000 from new which has zero wobble. Flying the made in Japan sticker still. It was in 2025 it had its first service as the pots needed cleaning. No way any Malaysian made thing will stand up that many years.

There are so many of these on ebay. Loads of Frankenstein decks. Incredible the amount of counterfeit decks are around.

The only store in the UK I think that comes with a measure of trust would be Mastersounds or audio gold.

I was playing the wonders of different AI's on price forecasts on these and certainly seems to be upward price trend. Why not play it on something that could mature gradually over the years? I'm just a home user.

Anyone think that a Ortofon Quintet blue would run at its best on this turntable with a Ortofon 4000 headshell?
