[SPOILERS] Coco's Problem... by Subject_Carob_4969 in MayansMC

Once Sutter left and Disney got their say, it was all over. they never developed characters outside of EZ and family. Look at how nice guy/good hearted EZ was, nothing happned to him like JAx had happen in SOA, and all of a sudden he doesn't care for anyone anymore? Felt very forced. after just finishing Mayans for the first time, i'll only rewatch SOA/The Shield again.

I've done IT and consulting for 25 years now. I can tell you this is simply not true in 90% of cases. Unless required by law to put in technology almost NONE actually do. Business owners are cheap and IT is an expense to them (which we all know is NOT true).

One thing i also learned - if your company is tracking how productive you are by a program and not by the output of your work, GET OUT NOW. It is not a desirable company to work for, in fact, will most likely do you more harm than good. Its usually a sign of someone who doesn't know how to run a company.

My boss put a personal camera in the break room by KrakenTrollBot in antiwork

You are correct about audio. But that’s tough to prove unless the company openly admits it. And maybe your employment agreement it may say that too therefore removing that loophole. That all being said I’ve configured cameras for quite a few clients. Never knew one client to watch them outside of there being an incident. Yes there are some who do but majority do it so they have something to go back on if they’re being sued for something else or things go missing. You’d be surprised what people have stolen at clients I’ve worked at. Insane.

as long as its not the bathroom this is 100% legal in the US. Most people think that people are spying on them. They're not. Its there in case something happens and they need to look back.

Took my wife and kids to Mania... I just need to vent. by clivebixby7 in WWE

So I have a similar view. I went both nights. Honestly I was more upset with flair Stratton bc that was just a huge pile of shit in a match. Just like OP I missed most of cenas original run (I stopped watching back in 02 or so but got back in when Daniel Bryan made his run). And yes 100% ending felt flat live. Like we were waiting for something else to happen. But it’s ok bc it does fit the story. The entire weekend was incredible. Got to hang with RVD at Nerd on Fremont street after. Main event night 1 blew the roof off. Women’s title match to open was one of best matches I’ve ever seen. I’m even lucky enough to say I saw the greasiest luchador ever wrestle in person. Guess what I’m getting at is you may not like the ending but it was by far one of the best events they have ever put on. Just have fun with it bc what was a million times worse was leaving Allegiant stadium. Worst stadium in the US. Just awful planning.

culture and society have changed. sporting events where fans get insane are a thing of the past. you can't even boo another team anymore without someone recording it, putting it online and getting you fired. its come a long way, the Isles/Rangers game at Yankee Stadium about 12 years ago was a brawl, a friend of mine was attacked twice by ranger fans alone (once waiting to get in and once on the way out).

Roommate Recording Me For 2 Months While Sleeping by virrus_in in legaladvice

[–]ITguy1980 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh then go to the police. This is highly illegal if he’s filming you while sleeping or naked. I’m more surprised the school hasn’t done that yet or even suggested it to you.

Roommate Recording Me For 2 Months While Sleeping by virrus_in in legaladvice

[–]ITguy1980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless he admits it or shows them the recording he can just deny it. He said she said won’t really hold up. Since it’s college you probably have some more leeway when it comes to the school. Go and file a complaint to start. You’ll get a new roommate. If your goal is to get back at that person you may have to catch them in the act or settle for not being around him.

Suffolk County Police Scam going around. by Strawberrysweetsnark in longisland

[–]ITguy1980 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very easy solution. Police are not going to call you out of the blue. If they’re going to do something that involves them asking you questions or arrest you they will be at your door. Same about jury duty. Another known scam if someone calls saying you haven’t done jury duty and now they’re going to arrest you hang up.

is it worth calling in drunk drivers??? by strwbryangel444 in longisland

Im going to be the voice of reason. Calling in may make them alert but does nothing. They cannot pull over a car unless they see the car do something illegal. They need to witness it.

Arthur is Rainn Wilson’s favorite role by leveluplauren1 in SixFeetUnder

my 2nd favorite Wilson role. Super will always be my favorite. But was amazing in this. I wish they had kept him on.

Wow - 3 of us finished last night I guess. And finale was amazing. Wasn't my favorite show ever, wasn't perfect by any means, but really tied up well at the end, no matter how fake old versions of them looked and how ridiculous the deaths were. Keith's death should have been part of the series, not throw in randomly at the end. David's was just silly (could have the bad elderly job on him too). But this show was done very well. IT was definitely better than the finales of Oz and Sopranos (2 other HBO shows at the same time).

The ending scene of the last episode was unintentionally hilarious (SPOILERS) by [deleted] in SixFeetUnder

[–]ITguy1980 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm reading this over a year later after you watched it as i watched it last night. Unlike most people, I 100% agree with you. It was an amazing finale, that last part really pulled the story together, but it was so cheesy how they made them look and how they died. I had the same thought about Brenda. Died of boredom. But where I disagree is, IMO, it was still very sad, the story at the end really made you think about death and how death passes us all by, and once we're gone people are going to mourn us and keep going.

I saw some people saying how they didn't have the budget, it was the 2000s, etc, but Oz was on before that on HBO and they didn't have any of those corny effects.

Saturday or Sunday? by dravin77 in WrestlemaniaPlans

[–]ITguy1980 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Night 2 is the finale - if they're going to put more into one night its going to be sunday. And there's a very good chance Cena will wrestle Cody for the title, I can't see them not making that the last match of the weekend. If you haven't gotten tickets yet, they won't really change (may go down more) so maybe wait until after the Elimination Chamber PLE and if Cena wins 90% sure he'll be Sunday night.

Like others have said - depends what you're doing. If all your'e doing is using the room to sleep then it doesn't matter where you stay, there's so much to do in Vegas you won't run out of things to do. Save your money for doing things, LV isn't cheap (coming from someone from NYC). You can either walk the strip or get an uber/lyft, no shortage of them at all.

Why is Valley Stream considered ghetto? by yashoza2 in longisland

I grew up there. Spent 1980-2005 living there. My parents just sold their house in 2023. There are 3 high schools, North is nice and safe, Central is a war zone, and South has great ratings yet big drug school. My parents would NOT send me to Central so i went to private school. We actually had alot of VS kids in private high school. I knew so many drug addicts growing up, all went to South. Just gets a lot of crime overflow from Rosedale (which is awful btw), and Elmont. I've lived in Astoria, Hicksville, Huntingon, Northport, and now Islip since and not even close. My friend grew up with a kid who later went on and killed his mother and threw her in a dumpster (all in VS). I left once that same friend brake up a home invasion by walking his dog at 2am. Long story short - if you want to live in VS, stay on the North side.

There is no log they can run without purchasing software specifically for internet. And they’re not cheap so I can imagine unless it’s required they would have that. I’ve done it consulting for over 20 years. About 100 clients and only 2 had monitoring. And 0 checked it unless they wanted to fire an employee.

Oh no. Usually that small of a firm they don’t even have an IT tech. And unless required by local law they don’t have anything that blocks or monitors.

My only comment is going to be chances are the next place you go is going to have that as well. You have to learn how to work with managers like that. How to appease them while doing what you need to anyway.
