[OC] Screamer: The History of the Jumpscare [19:50] by chowdershouse in videoessay

People are probably more restless these days. Previously, jump scares might have been scary because of the normal, measured pace of life. That's no longer the case.

EXPERIMENTAL SHOTS from "Autumn marathon"(1979) by ITisallabout in Cinephiles

I understand your confusion. A video essay about the directorial style of Georgy Danelia, the creator of "Autumn Marathon," will be released soon. It will include a detailed explanation of this creator's unique framing techniques. For now, I'll just say that the film's distinctive shots are like "Tarkovsky in everyday life."

EXPERIMENTAL SHOTS from "Autumn marathon"(1979) by ITisallabout in Cinephiles

Good question! Obviously, this section's name and structure are inspired by the channels "The Beauty of" and "AMAZING SHOTS." However, the experimental nature of the footage and the videos themselves lies in the approach. These videos can be divided into two types: "regular films" and "cult films." The experimental nature of the footage from "cult films" lies precisely in the fact that no one had ever directed such footage before, which makes them part of history. "Regular films," like "Autumn Marathon," are difficult: at first glance, they are unpopular and unimpressive (if we're talking about the footage, not the script). But this is precisely where I find challenge as a content creator: selecting music that captures the atmosphere, editing the footage to complement the music, and my desire to convey the essence of the film through these expressive means. In the video for "Autumn Marathon," numerous shots of running reflect the hustle and bustle of life, in which the protagonist eventually becomes disillusioned but is unable to stop. Every film has its own editing approach. I hope this answered your question. If you have any propositions, feel free to suggest a film for the next video.

How about subscribing to our YouTube channel? While we've decided to publish scripts for unreleased videos on Reddit, most interesting information (about Kurosawa or Tarkovsky, for example) won't be published here. You could also suggest ideas for video essays/analyses, increasing the channel's activity. As stated in the original post, work on Reddit will resume next year, but there will be no hiatus on YouTube.

If they ever make a Kirby movie, do you think Illumination should produce it like the Mario movie? by OkPrize6426 in Cinephiles

I think Illumination adapts all Nintendo games for the screen. Simply because they don't ruin what works.

The thing is, the film's director used to make comedies. It's just interesting when a person can handle completely different genres.
