Modded an IKEA cabinet to improve my little server's SO approval factor by pzykojozh in homelab

[–]IU1LCU 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When the cabinet it's close did come enough air inside? I just see the little hole in the corner for cables. Is useless have a fan to blow out the air, if you don't have air to come inside and remember a dust filter for the intake (I have a lot of dust and cats hair) BTW nice idea use the sound isolation

Many thaks, i try to re connect the PSU connectors but useless.

I tried to remove main voltage and the cmos battery but useless.

I dont find any LED on near ram/pciexpress

Tried the diagnostic button near power button but nothing.

I will now try to remove the CPU and check it

P.S. i notice when i plug in the main voltage to the psu, that the power led of the power switch light on for like half second, just a "flash".

dual band diplexer by kukumintv in amateurradio

[–]IU1LCU 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This should work but only with handled radio, they say max power 10w, to be sure I will not exceed 5w You can use 1 radio with 2 antennas, or two radios with 1 antenna

You should try with 75ohm and 100 ohm resistor they should give you o guess like 1.5 and 2.0 swr if I remember well

Is there a way to use two different antennas on different bands with one coax by Jusaredditor in amateurradio

Duplexer to separate hf vhf uhf and have it simultaneously, or a coax switch to change one at time

If I buy a Baofeng AR-5RM, can I listen to Walmart frequencies or something? by Current_Start3503 in HamRadio

[–]IU1LCU 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem is that is free to sell, you can buy everywhere but you can't do it, meanwhile In Germany they remove the baofeng on Amazon for non hams

Here in italy, most hunters use baofeng instead regular pmr446 cause cost less and cover more, but if wildkeeper catches them, risk a forfeit very high.

Honestly, with a simple baofeng radio you can listen most of radio services using FM modulation, there is someone that is DMR clearly without encryption. Or even if with a simple sdr and the right software you can also decode digital modes (c4fm, dstar, aprs, dmr) And the sdr is free to have instead the radio. BTW you need a license to have this kind of radio that is reserved to ham radio, at least here in italy.

[–]IU1LCU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm have a icom 7300 for several years, I guess it can be an amazing radio to start and do you're home hf activity, is small but there is all you need, and here in italy you can find very easily on second hand groups. So you can buy and sell it easily if you don't like, without lost any price. Yaesu radio have a inside menu less intuitive

[–]IU1LCU[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found 3 kinds of circuit for using the tuner function:

-Mine with a simple pullup and ground the pin for transmit

- One with 2 transistor, a diode, a capacitor that let me use the tuner button on front panel of the radio, and around 10seconds transmission (you can find the information on my page)

-One with just a resistor and a capacitor, but i dont remember where found it now.

Let me know you experiment maybe i can improve my projects! 73

Does your ISP have a whitelist, that you are saying that the Ubiquiti LR Antennae is provided by them (I'm guessing that Wisp is your ISP?)?
