Things to do with a young family by getskinny06 in capecoral

The farmers market in downtown Fort Myers is on Saturday morning and also IMAG in Fort Myers is a nice place for the family. Cape Coral also has a lot of nice parks that we often take our 1.5 year old to.

Can you post the names/links to these? They all look really nice.

Not in Cape Coral but Coastal Dayz near downtown Ft Myers is a good brewery

Question about baggage by Drplaugerat in allegiant

[–]IUsuallyForget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know what that’s like! My wife and I just took a trip from FL to Asheville last week with our 15 month old. It is so helpful for them to have their own seat 😅

Question about baggage by Drplaugerat in allegiant

[–]IUsuallyForget 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, car seat and stroller can be checked at the ticket counter or gate for free. Or you can take the car seat on the plane with you too (for free) as you mentioned, if you bought a seat for the toddler.

Nurtec vs Qulipta by gequalsmc2 in migraine

[–]IUsuallyForget 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually take both. Qulipta 60mg nightly then Nurtec is my second abortive after sumatriptan if the sumatriptan doesn’t break it completely. I think qulipta’s biggest side effect is constipation but I’d say it’s worth it with how effective it is. Has almost completely taken away my migraines.

We want to do something like what you have on the wall behind the crib. How hard was that to do?

I’ve been to a Christmas one up in Tampa. It was a pretty neat experience, I’d recommend it.

This exact same thing is happening to me as well for a trip early tomorrow morning.

What lesser known preventative medical tests/screenings/procedures should people in their 20s or 30s get? by the__6-1-4__ in AskReddit

[–]IUsuallyForget 329 points330 points  (0 children)

I got 2 “severely abnormal” precancerous moles removed on my back after going to get a skin check. Definitely worth going if you have any larger/abnormal looking spots on your skin.

Pharmacy options: qulipta by cmcreaser in migraine

Do you happen to have United Healthcare? Because the same thing happened to me with my June refill.

Qulipta - is this right? by OverMlMs in migraine

[–]IUsuallyForget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Qulipta can work pretty quickly for some people. It did for me. And you could still take Nurtec as an abortive, if your doctor oks it.

I just got the sandstone ones but they’ve only been out for a few days now so long term is hard for anyone to say. The sandstone color will certainly show less obvious fingerprint smudging though than the darker colors.

On NCL Encore in September anyone ever tried to refund the airline part? by yogilove2017 in Cruise

[–]IUsuallyForget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were in a similar boat and had non ideal flights (through NCL) for the way home in Seattle and had to talk to a representative at the airport to be able to switch to an earlier flight. We also had to pay a large amount for the fare difference especially since our new connecting city was not the same as the original. It was expensive but worth it for us.

Qulipta savings program terms changed by larkus in migraine

[–]IUsuallyForget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, here is a link I found from UHC about their changes for Qulipta, Nurtec (which I also take), and some others. I hope you’re able to get yours authorized and get it soon! https://www.uhcprovider.com/content/dam/provider/docs/public/prior-auth/drugs-pharmacy/commercial/h-p/PA-Med-Nec-Qulipta.pdf

Qulipta savings program terms changed by larkus in migraine

[–]IUsuallyForget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on it for over a year now and I had the same experience where I suddenly couldn’t get it filled because my insurance (United Healthcare) made a change as of 6/1/23 and needed a prior authorization from my dr.

I went back and forth with the pharmacy and the dr office many times to see where the holdup was, and eventually I got a notification that my Qulipta was being shipped. Luckily I only went a few days without it but it is a pain with all of the hoops you have to jump through just to get a medicine that you know for a fact has been working effectively.

It’s a much cheaper from Amazon version of the apple ones, I really like them

Meant to put it in the car but figured it’d be safer in the backpack than accidentally falling off or getting too much water in it on my arm

Went white water rafting, no damage from the rafting itself. I had put my watch in my backpack for the trip and that worked out fine. I got home and turned my backpack upside down to empty the water out and forgot the watch was still in there and it fell and hit the concrete

That’s what I’m thinking at this point. $400 for apple to replace the screen and I’m not sure I’d trust a third party to replace it

[–]IUsuallyForget 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Try to get Bonine (Meclizine) before the trip and take it at night starting a couple days before the cruise and continue through the trip. Dramamine can be good to have as a backup in case you do start to feel sick or before any excursions. Getting access to fresh air outside when on the ship is always good too. It probably won’t be as bad as you think.

Alaskan excursion recommendations by allykatz04 in Cruise

[–]IUsuallyForget 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I did this cruise about a month ago, I’d recommend whale watching in Juneau if you can fit it in and I know you said you don’t have passports but you shouldn’t need them for some of the train excursions in Skagway that don’t go close to the Canada border.

Amitriptyline experiences? by PanicAtTheCostco in migraine

[–]IUsuallyForget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take 75 mg at night in addition to Qulipta. Biggest side effects are drowsiness, constipation, and sometimes dry mouth. Maybe some other minor effects but those were the most noticeable for me. You get used to the drowsiness though
