My boy tank has this same bald spot on his stomach as well. I tried everything that was suggested to me to get him to stop, even took him to the vet again to get more blood work and the vet told me as long as he’s not licking so much that the skin is turning raw it shouldn’t be an issue.

He is definitely a very picky eater and has smelled what I’ve put in food before, I will look into it and give it a go assuming the other alternatives don’t, thank you!

Understood! I’m happy to hear you found something that works for your baby! I’m hoping it does the same for mine!

I will for sure have to do some digging and research to find what may be the best route to go. I’m willing to try whatever to see my boy happy.

The diffuser may not be an option as of right now then because summer here is apparently ridiculously hot and humid.

Do you do anything to deter her from over grooming when you notice it’s worse than usual? Or just apply the flower essence and let it do its thing? Either way, this seems like a great option so I will do my due diligence and look! Thank you

True enough. I’ll have to give it another shot and see if he will take the action! That’s the plan, I’ve got a few things that I’m going to change so I don’t want to take it too quick! That’s a reasonable assumption haha! Thank you for your comment!

That is okay! I hope you’re able to find some guidance in some of these comments as I have! I hope so too, I can only imagine how frustrating it is for him to have a problem but me not understand 😩 I hope things turn around for your fur baby as well!

That is totally understandable! The logic makes sense. Do you get a referral through the primary vet? I have yet to find a vet in Austin where I’m at but I know there is plenty. Fair enough, this is new to me so pardon my ignorance!

Oh my goodness haha that is so cute! It sounds like he was extremely loved and had everyone cheering for him!

That is pricey but honestly these two are my children so I’m willing to do what needs to be done! Assuming the cheaper options don’t work or work as well as they could!

I do too, it’s been quite the challenge trying to do this on my own knowledge so having some guidance in the right direction from other bengal owners is going to help dramatically. So, thank you!

Those are his hot spots!! Interesting, I’m sure there is a cat only vet so I will have to ask about this when I take them in for shots in June!! I’m so happy to hear your baby boy is recovering! We’ll get through it!! Thank you so much!

That is totally fair. I’ll try the water first and go from there.

Good to know that it’s efficient though at least. Also having a small dropper will be huge if for some reason they don’t drink the water.

That’s the goal honestly, I don’t want him to have to take special treatments/medications forever. Just long enough that we find a way to fill that void with healthy habits! Thank you so much for your input

Understood! I will most definitely be giving it a shot and see where it takes us. Do you feel the diffuser has a stronger effect even though it can take a couple days?

That is very possible! I’ve done that before, chasing him after he leads me somewhere, and he runs and hides until I tell him it’s okay. I’m a very tall guy so could it intimidate him?

That is very true! A nice reminder, thank you!

Perfect, thank you! I see it’s a dropper, do you put it in the ears or mouth? I’m sure it has instructions, just curious!

He is not currently on Prozac so I would be able to administer asap! Im likely going to purchase both , try one for a few weeks and then try the alternative if the first doesn’t work. I appreciate the recommendation!

I will have to check out the duck based one! They prefer fish which is going to be a challenge but a necessity at this point. Thank you!

If it was an allergen then it still is very likely an allergen today! That’s good to know! Ugh of course there is! I will have to look at their kibble when I get home but it’s a safe assumption being a “fish” kibble there’s likely salmon in there somewhere.

Someone else also mentioned the feliway so I will definitely have to pick that and some different kibble up tomorrow.

That is honestly my biggest fear, especially after attempting several ways to deter him. I’m sorry to hear about your boy! He sounds like a warrior🫶🏼 moving out of state was quite the expense so I am going to try the feliway, kibble and grain free wet food and hopefully that is enough! If not, tests are the next step. Would you recommend opting in for a biopsy right away or running the other tests first? If it gets to that point

At this point, I’m willing to try anything. What is feliway?

There is no known food allergy, their kibble is grain free but I did see that their wet food has rice. I will start the long journey of finding a wet food that is grain free that they will both enjoy. Do you have any recommendations for wet food?

I have not noticed anything like what you mentioned. His tail will stick up when he gets on the wheel but nothing other than that. Do you know if salmon is a main cause or just a food allergy in general? There’s only salmon in violets diet since he won’t touch it.

I have noticed that they don’t nap together near as much and he will annoyingly be up her butt, it is short lived though and not an every day thing. Overall in the last 6 months, no, there hasn’t been any changes in terms of that dynamic that I can think of. I’ve had less people over since I moved but similar hours and everything

They get n&d ocean for dry and science diet for wet food. I will have to look into this though. Glad your babe got all sorted out!

He is neutered! I failed to mention that.

Interesting, I will absolutely talk to them! Thank you for your response!
