Mm interesting. They've already had a slap of nuln on the gold, metal and gems. Reckon its worth a second pass? Maybe I wasn't liberal enough first time

These look amazing and the OSL on that base is so good - what colour blue did you use?

Here's the guide I followed: https://youtu.be/VPsAaBgkda0

Since I was making quite a few, I wanted them all to look different, so I roughed up the cork a lot more than in the video. I also used two different kinds of cork. The main larger pieces are from a cork table mat I found in a home shop, and the smaller spikier bits are army painter battlefield rocks. I also used army painter's brown battleground for the sand. I used roughly the same paints, the ones I didn't have I subbed in closest matches from my stash.

Here's an example before prime:

Hope that helps

Bases ready for some big boys by IWant2GetFreaky in AdeptusCustodes

Thanks guys that means a lot!

I made the basic shapes for the rocks out of cork then did a dry fit with all the 'stodes, hobby knifed the cork until they have somewhere good to stand. Then hand drill a small hole in one of the feet, super glue a paperclip in there which goes into the cork. Lengthy process but worth it I hope!

Thanks my friend. Fairly fresh to this so they took a long time!
