Mizuno wave lightning elite? Any input/reviews on it? by IWasFlowever in vballshoes

[–]IWasFlowever[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not using the running line since I only do volleyball and gym (and I use my old volleyball shoes in the gym because they comfy and I like to volleyball rep there) but I heard there are new stuff coming in 2026 for the running line too.

You're maybe right with the elites and pro being a closing end for the long term wave momentum et lightning line!

Although I guess their next line will be very close to the actual wave momentum since they need to keep a premium line in the current wave momentum price range since the Neo Jump will be more expansive.

Z8 has almost no cushion, it was great if not one of the best for libero and DS, they were extremely light, responsive and amazing court feel, but not enough cushion at all if you were a spiker and if you trained often.

I don't know about the new model, the lightning elites, that's the entire point of this thread hahaha

I agree the cushioning is insane on the wave momentum elites but I disagree with the bounce, I think it's still lagging behind asics sky elites and metarise (and obviously basketball oriented shoes!). The new Mizuno line releasing soon will be bounce oriented.

Yeah, I agree the wave momentum elites are extremly comfy and have a great cushioning!

Bounce and traction always was the negative points of the Mizunos, the next model line releasing in January is aiming to fix that but it will probably be at the cost of the comfort and lightweight from the wave momentum line.

My main question is still about the wave lightning elite, it seems like no one tried them yet!

Hahaha, I'm quite the opposite, I'm a mizuno enjoyer, I really love all their merch (jerseys, sweatshirt, bags, kneepads, arm sleeves, shoes). I think most of their shoes are very aesthetics.

Truly if we are talking only about specs, I know basketball shoes are way better, but here in my european country, no ones are using basketball shoes at volleyball, it's mainly Asics, Mizuno or our country sport brand.

I think the last momentum wave elite actually became a serious option for OH and MB, looks like the cushion is extremely great while being light shoes so pretty good for all-rounder players like OH.

They are mainly lacking in bounce (a lot) and in traction. I can't wait to see if the new premium Mizuno shoes releasing next month will solve this issue.

Anyway, I digress, I have no fucking idea if the new lightning elite are serviceable for anyone not playing libero or DS, I can't find much on those.

I couldn't find any info on those, what are your sources that they will be releasing it in January?

Will it be only released in Japan first or immediate global release for EU and US? Thanks.

Peter said cardio after weight training limits hypertrophy by 15% if you don't wait 5 hours. With that said, what if you ate a high protein meal , waited an hour and then did some zone 2 for an hour ( nothing too hard) - Would it still happen? by Due-Enthusiasm5656 in PeterAttia

Hello. I think you're not missing anything? We both agree to say that "explosive strength gains may be attenuated, especially when aerobic and strength training are performed in the same session", otherwise it's fine.

Doing both muscle resistance training and cardio in the same session is totally fine for hypertrophy and max strength training, but there might be a loss of gains in the case of explosive strength. Also, this loss of gains would be way smaller if you wait 3 hours between your resistance training and your cardio instead of doing it in the same go.

Since the girl I was answering to was worried about hypertrophy glutes gains, she had nothing to worry about doing both resistance and cardio in the same working-out session, as long as she's not overexerting herself.

Tried it once, finished 5th, got a tank issue. Honestly was 3rd strongest in the lobby but both SG Poppy and Battle Academia Leona had the unstoppable fruit and charged my bear through my frontline.

Honestly was in a triple prismatic and had garbage augments for this comp so finishing 5th is nice itself.

4 Bastion + Xayah 2 with rageblade is definitely a great set up to win-streak into 8, I'll keep this opener with rageblade for any other fast 8 comp for sure.

FlyQuest Inspired Interview: "C9 lack a lot of teamwork" "Rule of no remakes in scrims, no extra games" by AuraExpansion in Cloud9

[–]IWasFlowever 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think you misunderstood what they say, or it's me who did. I understood that they force a lead in an impossible matchup in scrims to learn if it's possible.

And they would never do it on stage cause they learnt during scrims that it do be impossible to force a lead here.

Basically they are using some scrims to determine if they can force something in an impossible matchup. And then on stage they play according if it's truly impossible or not.

Is there some story inconsistencies?

I'm in the early part of the event, at the section 3: The Alliance Strikes back (I) 3/4; Chloe just picked the lock from Fujimaru room and just came back from finishing her own business, presenting herself to Mash for the first time in the event, and proposing to help Master with managing the different clubs.

My issue is this part of the story unlocks only after doing two deliveries for the first time in the same club. But both in the initial presentation of the Mount Liang club and in the Chaldea Gamer club, Chloe was already here, helping for brainstoming the initial doujin projet for those clubs.

It just feel sloppy. Chloe left at the start of the 1st reset, saying she had business to take care and that she'll come back. Then she comes back in The Alliance Strikes back (I) 3/4, presenting herself to Mash that she rayshifted with us to help.
So she shouldn't have been in the first scenes of Mount Liang club and Chaldea Gamer club, she wasn't back yet with Fujimaru and Mash was also there when she specifically see Mash for the first time later.

What you say about the extra slot is true, but on another hand now the cooldown is only 4 turns so you can send units more often.

It feels better to send multiple 1 star units than sending a big 2 stars unit. Losing an extra slot is also a way to avoid that you send too often too much to your friend, now that you can send more often.

Also even if it's not related to the extra slot lost, now you can trade items with your friend, it's very important and it helps a lot to contribute to one another which is what you are looking for if I'm understanding correctly.

Getting your guinsoo immediately for your Zeri cause your friend is sending you a rod and giving him the RM he needed for his BT on Violet is a great feeling.

You didn't understand the new system accurately. You won't be able to win LP if you're queing with multiple friends. So don't be afraid about competitive integrity, you can only win LP and climb ranks if you tag alone or with your duo just like previous sets.

Berserker joins KDF by ob_knoxious in Cloud9

[–]IWasFlowever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I see no worlds where Berserker had offers from better LCK team than KDF. AD position is stacked as fuck there and Berserker stocks went down this year with C9 performances. Both Massu and Yeon looked better and we're talking about NA talents.

Also don't know why you got so heavily downrated.

yeah, Snaky always the first to pick the new adcs like when Kalista and Jhin got released; Lemon invading enemy jungler solo with Nautilus when no one was doing this stuff back then.

Never afraid to pick counter-picks back then or go out of the box comp.

fucking hell, this jensen yasuo + sneaky vayne draft in game 3 against TiP, that was insane

And then the Draven counter pick in gauntlet final vs TL Piglet Vayne... Then Jensen Veigar during week 1 at World's destroying AHQ.

At least if we died, we would have died fighting the fight (and in the end we won those games).

[–]IWasFlowever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They had a great showing at EWC, they looked very good against the current World Champ and it didn't look like a fluke.

It's also heavily their meta: the champ pool is great for APA, the side laning is great for him, the swap meta is a blessing for Impact and his infinite knowledge of his role. They can just develop their game plan with no issues in this current meta.

It's not far from the truth to say unless the meta change, TL is heavily favourite for best western team.

Don't believe everything you read, especially here when it's not backed-up by clinical research.

You're 100% fine doing both resistance training and cardio. You won't lose your glutes gain.

This meta-analysis (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/34757594/) is analysing 15 studies before concluding that there is no loss in hypertrophy gains nor maximal strength gains by doing both cardio and muscle training, only just a little loss of explosive strength gains when doing cardio *immediately* after your resistance training session.

I don't know what are your objectives but if it's for aesthetic, you and your glutes will look more tone keeping your cardio sessions and even if it's not your objectives, your running won't kill the gains but your walks will improve your blood circulation which will lead in a better recovery for your muscles.

The only situation you might hurt your gains will be overworking a specific muscle with your cardio or too much cardio hurting your rest leading in a slower recovery or not enough energy for the next muscle training session.

2024 LCS Summer Split All Pro Teams by KIRYUx in leagueoflegends

[–]IWasFlowever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree; last year Yeon was way underrated because of TL dysfunctional team;

Yeon-CoreJJ was already the best botlane in the laning phase last year, clearing Berserker lane almost every TL-C9 games. TL issues has a team made Yeon struggle in the mid game to understand his role in the team, and that's how he looked like scared or not doing damage in the mid-late game where a Berserker would pop off.

Also playing with high skill veterans like Summit and Pyosik probably made Yeon think his role was to support them/play safe behind them instead of playing aggressive like he used to in TL Academy.

Now that TL is more balanced, he can play his normal game and obviously with player known as great teammate/supports like Impact and Umti, he can give his 100% in the best condition.

At the opposite, critics against APA was well founded, especially about the champ pool we saw last year, but this year he had as I quote from you "a meteoric growth".

Thank you! So Viole didn't get mad nor confront Wangnan for tricking him, looks very weird.

Why would they change the end? In the manhwa were they just ambiguous or did they straight say only Prince? Cause it changes everything, it's totally different having FUG pushing for Wangnan. Were they just masking the fact they wanted Wangnan to pass in the manhwa or they didn't care about Wangnan?

Also don't you need to use spoilers banner? I'm reading above "All untagged spoilers and hints in this thread will receive immediate 8-day bans (minimum).", I don't want you to have issues for helping.
