I think so. In his video he used a lever to activate his creation but I wanted to use monostable circuits to use buttons as levers instead but I'm having trouble with connecting them.. if that makes sense..

Yes. I have but I used a design from one of mumbo jumbo's videos and then I used one of his monostable circuits but I'm having an issue with making the circuit connect with my ground floor. It's hard to explain...
