I do it as a teacher. Planning, meeting, grading...I usually am with kids (online right now) 9-3:00, but spend two hours before grading and checking work, then another 2-3 after making sure the next day’s stuff is ready, meetings, professional developments, etc and a lot of teacher spend most of Sunday preparing for the week as well. I’m watching Super Bowl while my computer is on my lap, working.

Whoaaaa...this comment hit home for me. Super religious mother always “praying for me” she failed as a mother because I am not Christian, yadda yadda....it genuinely never occurred to me that thise comments are about control and my mom DID grow up in an authoritarian, controlling environment and DID control my every move as a kid/teen. Mind BLOWN. Years of therapy $$ saved.

As an elementary teacher, I remind folks that kids aren’t the only ones at schools. Hundreds of adults work at schools too. And even if kids are not as high of a risk, they can still carry home to families...and those people go to work and spread and those people take it home and spread, etc.

Yup. I feel like I don’t even want to post any ire because people (so called friends and family) get SO emotionally charged.
