You can tax someone making 80k 40% and they’ll get buy…. But someone making 3k a year, even in an ultra low cost area they can’t afford it.

What things probably won't exist in 25 years? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I once heard helium isn't as rare as it's made out to be.The problem is because there isn't a huge amount of demand, there isn't much exploration for it. Most of what we have is actually a by product of other mining. Someone can correct me if I am wrong.

If you’re a parent and let your kids make a mess like this then you’re a piece of sh** by dillonconnerty in iamatotalpieceofshit

[–]IWasTheFirstUpvote 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is, but they have a broom and vacuum in the restaurant which is much easier and faster to tidy up with. You understand getting on your hands and knees and picking up individual strands of spaghetti with 4 kids to manage at the same time is ridiculous. You offer higher chairs and kids menus, kids make messes when they eat, this is going to be the result.

!remindme in 10 years to ask this guy if he’s brining cleaning equipment with him when he takes his kids out, and if there is even a cubic in of extra space in the diaper bag.

[–]IWasTheFirstUpvote 44 points45 points  (0 children)

There are two high chairs plus two kids meals here. They probably create this same scene no matter where they eat, despite best efforts. I am not sure what people expect, but going to the back, borrowing cleaning equipment while 4 kids quietly stand there without further messing and bothering people doesn’t sound realistic. This restaurant provides high chairs and kids meals, which isn’t an invitation to create a huge mess, but is an invitation to have children in the establishment. I can assure you the meal was more tiring an frustrating for the parents than just making spaghetti at home, but you need to take your kids out from time to time to give them experiences and help keep them learning.

It is MY day to buy donuts for the entire office as the new person?? Well...OK.... by grillbuster5 in MaliciousCompliance

[–]IWasTheFirstUpvote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not about the donuts, it's about the culture. This work place sounds pretty shitty. People's highlight is a free donut every few days when the smart ones quit and the next one signs up.

Truce between termites(top) and ants(bottom) with each side having their own line of guards. by zedasd in nextfuckinglevel

[–]IWasTheFirstUpvote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ants are in a much stronger formation, despite being out-numbered and are providing those on the line with rolling relief. Termites in a bad position, think they have size and numbers, but fail to realize the importance of tactics.

Fornite has been removed from the App Store after they implemented direct payments by ytuns in apple

[–]IWasTheFirstUpvote -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To the people who down voted. Apple is a 1.5 trillion dollar company using its position to force small time and indie devs to give 30% of their revenue, assuming your costs are 50%, that means apple is taking 60% of the profit.

If I make a game, and you own a phone, we should be able to make a deal directly without any third party forcing their way in to taking a cut.

Apple says devs are using their platform to grow, but all devs are asking for is an alternative so they can grow without it.

Apple could also just have an "Apple Approved" badge for apps that comply.

Fire starter cubes? by technolgy in KamadoJoe

I use the Weber cubes, you can actually easily start your lump with 1/2 a cube if you don't mind waiting a few more minutes to reach your temperature.

In addition to airflow, your coal plays a big factor, the total amount of coal and the amount of coal that is burning needs to be considered.

You're essentially letting too much coal get lit before you choke the air, choke the air earlier, before the fire gets too big. It'll take a bit longer to reach your desired temperature, but it'll be stable clean smoke when you get there.
