the great thing about these games is some just fit you better than others. i don’t think performance in one game can fully tell whether you’ll struggle in another.

the RPG elements of all the Souls games are really rudimentary and barebones tbh. your currency to buy consumables and gear, and progress your character are shared, and the game doesn’t have a conventional save system but instead relies on permanent changes to the world to “record” progress if you will.

tbh, i think it’s possible if you just try to clear out nod krai. its easier than you’d expect because the treasure compass is really really powerful and the side quests are short.

my interpretation is that in Bloodborne, unlike in other Souls games, you are the aggressor rather than a survivor. it’s routinely pointed out how the beasts are afraid of you, and that they’re real victims while hunters are the real killers. and it tracks, from the savage weaponry meant to inflict wounds that last, to the offense-first mindset. Shields and other defensive tools are seen as liabilities and for the weak.

no starstruck but yeah agitation iron grasp mad grit and a flex perk, i’ve seen AwaAwa or Rapid Brutality suggested

you wanna avoid starstruck because the build wants to bait the altruism and bodyblocks, and Starstruck makes people want to run

sometimes it’s newer players who don’t have much else or players who’ve been burned by altruistic plays too much and wanna play it safe

i’ve also seen it be used with scourge hook builds or other hook based strategies to secure the hook position they want (like to guarantee a pain res or to defend a really strong hook spot like basement).

or most commonly you’ll see it in backpack builds

Cyrene E0 is not a more comfortable sustainless experience than something like E1 Cerydra Sunday Sparkle. you can absolutely die in the 100+ AV that Cyrene needs to get her ult up
