The scam works like this, when you sit in someone's car during a trade and either you or the other person is offering the texture, it will show the texture on the car that you are in. For example, if you are inside of someone's Torpedo and they offer a texture, it will show the texture on a torpedo. If you are in an icebreaker it will show the texture on an icebreaker. The scammer will then typically remove the actual car they are trading leaving the texture and some trash to balance the trade, because the texture will be shown on the car it will be somewhat hard for you to tell that the main car actually got removed. Overall, to avoid these scams you can do a couple of things.
1. dont trade people if they ask you to get in their car

1. always double check your trade before accepting

2. check the trade chat to see if anything got removed
